Multicultural & Indigenous Round 2026

What an incredible weekend it was as we celebrated our Multicultural & Indigenous Round.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend such a success. From our amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, to our coaches, managers, committee members, referees, volunteers and everyone who pitched in – this weekend simply wouldn’t have been possible without you.

A special thank you to our fantastic food vendors for keeping everyone well fed throughout the weekend. Your support helped create an amazing atmosphere for our families and visitors.

One of the highlights of the weekend was our Flag Parade.

Every flag displayed throughout the day represented the culture or heritage of one of our players or families at the Karalee Tornadoes. Time and care is taken each year to identify and include every culture represented within our club, creating a beautiful visual reminder of just how diverse and inclusive our Tornadoes family has become. It is something we are incredibly proud of.

A huge shout out to our Under 9 and Under 10 players, who carried each of those flags with pride and respect.

It was a truly special moment watching them create a flag tunnel for 70 Under 6 and Under 7 players from clubs across the Ipswich to run through. Seeing children from so many different clubs run through together with smiles on their faces perfectly captured what our Multicultural & Indigenous Round is all about—celebrating diversity, inclusion and the communities that make rugby league so special.

A special mention must also go to our Senior players, who didn’t just help for one day—they were there across both days, rolling up their sleeves and pitching in wherever they were needed. Whether it was setting up, packing down, helping around the grounds or simply lending a hand, your willingness to give back to the club didn’t go unnoticed. It was fantastic to see our senior players leading by example and showing what it means to be part of the Tornadoes family.

The atmosphere across both days was incredible. There was great games to watch, fantastic food, plenty of laughter, and most importantly, a wonderful sense of community.

One Club. Many Cultures. Stronger Together. 🌪️💙❤️
