Great overnighter despite the heat and the threat of storms and strong winds. Quite a few had to cancel for this event but hopefully we’ll see them on the next one 🙂

Well it's been a long time coming!! Recent crazy weather due to La Nina has made it rather difficult to plan paddles, let alone weekend trips like this long overdue Moreton Island overnighter. Hopefully there'll be many more soon. Thanks guys for your great company.

Mud Island Adventure: when it's windy things happen. One of the best day paddles this year. Took the tide with light winds to Mud Island from Manly and waited an hour or so in the moon scape for the 15 - 20 knot north easterly wind to come in and it did! After escaping the lagoon and its' broken coral we raced home. A couple of capsizes caught us by surprise but the Sea Guide amongst us put his training to good use. Great day everyone and thanks for coming.
