Team mate & Boat Engineer Glenn Manchett is about to start the Race to Alaska, a 750-mile engineless sea race!
Meaning that when they run out of wind, as opposed to starting the engine, he'll be peddling away, along with his teammates!

More visitors to Outlaw, re-insulating the engine room, testing all the lifejackets overnight & repacking, reinstalling bunks and repairing one of the bulkheads amongst other things.
We also had lots of thoughts around improvements we can make to enhance the wellbeing of the OGR27 crew.

The summer refit works have begun on Outlaw.
Towards the end of the last race we noticed damp in one of the galley lockers so today the lockers have been removed and the water ingress has been located, luckily with manageable damage to repair. We should have this fixed lickety split! How satisfying to tick off another job on the list 😊

News update: We've re-branded from Spirit of Adelaide to Sailing Outlaw.
Our Baltic 55 remains registered in Port Adelaide, the hometown of Skipper Campbell however, we became known by our boat name OUTLAW during the inaugural Ocean Globe Race hence now 'Sailing Outlaw' ⛵️

A massive congratulations to all the Outlaw crew from everyone at The Maiden Factor! After 43 days, 21 hours and 39 mins at sea, sailing from Uruguay to the UK for Leg Four, they have now finished the Ocean Globe Race.
