• You wake up with just enough time to survive the day, not win it.

Major surgery. Strong comeback.

Over the past 9 weeks, Alice’s journey took an unexpected turn. We had initiated a slight calorie deficit and adjusted training volume with the goal of leaning up for Christmas—then came the call for surgery.

Alice underwent abdominal separation and hernia surgery, followed by three weeks of very limited movement. During that time, the focus shifted to what could be controlled: daily steps where possible, consistent nutrition, and maintaining routine.

Over the last two weeks, we’ve carefully reintroduced training at a lower intensity—full-body sessions, minimal bracing, prioritising stability and machine-based movements to support recovery.

This is what happens when you continue to tick the boxes, even through surgery.
Nine weeks, 5kg down, and quality tissue maintained.

Incredibly impressed with Alice’s determination throughout this process. Coming back mentally from surgery is no small task—but she committed fully and executed every step. An outstanding effort. 💪

180x2 hamstring went again on the 3rd rep and decided to make it worse pushing for a 4th 🤦🏼‍♂️🤷‍♂️ soooo... now I can’t move let alone squat. What a co****ad looks like I can’t push through this injury back off hypertrophy for a few weeks see how I go. ****ad
