Nullarbor Links, ‘World’s Longest Golf Course’, is a unique 18-hole par 72 golf course spanning 1,365 kilometres with one hole at each participating town or roadhouse along the Eyre Highway from
Kalgoorlie in WA to Ceduna in SA It traverses the Nullarbor Plain, a region of contrasting geographic features,
unspoilt landscapes, azure waters, Australian wildlife (birds, wombats, whales, kangaroos),
eucalypt and hardwood forest. This tourism icon is much more than just
a golf course but an interpretive journey. Nullarbor Links is one of only a few golf
courses in the world where the holes are
named rather than numbered. This is
because the course was designed to be
played in both directions. Every hole has
been given a typically Aussie-vernacular
name, such as Watering Hole at Mundrabilla,
and signage has been installed that provides
visitors with an insight into the local history
and attractions - the famous 1979 crash landing of NASA’s Skylab at Balladonia for example
