Had a good run lately, with some very close racing and some good results, and finally managed another feature win. Got it done with 3 heat wins and come home in the final with win also. Very happy with the way the car and driver are performing at the moment.
A couple weeks off now to freshen everything up before making the 1800km trek to Karratha to contest the annual Brett Johnson Memorial. Nickol Bay Speedway

So, after a long day of testing, we loaded up and headed to Narrogin Speedway Club for the annual Kulker Cup.
With 17 cars in attendance, i needed to do well in my heats to put the car in a good position for the final. I managed a 4th, a 3rd and a 1st, putting me out of 8 for the final. With tricky track conditions and tough competition, I managed to come home in 4th, in a tight finish for the top 4. Overall, was a very beneficial trip and very happy with how the car performed. Next up, the month of madness, with racing in Tyres & More Esperance Speedway, Kalgoorlie International Speedway, and the state title at the Perth Motorplex. Gonna be a big 2 weekends racing!

Sorry all, been a bit quiet with regards to racing over the Christmas season, and after damaging an engine just before Christmas, it's taken a little longer to get parts and everything back going again. Hopefully this weekend we'll get out to run in the motor and do a bit of testing, then if all goes well, we're looking to load up and head to Narrogin Speedway to contest the annual Kulker Cup next weekend.
See how it all goes.

On a better note, thanks to CB Graphix the trailer got a bit of maintainance and a face lift over the same time.

After almost 10 years, we headed back to the Perth Motorplex for a run. Had a pretty good run through the heats, started out of 2nd, and with a bit of luck, came home with the win, on the final corner!

After a week of tinkering after work, the new engine is in, and all running sweet. Can't wait to get on the track for a bit of testing

Unfortunately, I found I had damaged my engine at the state title, so I've been busy building a new one. After a bit of a wait on parts and machining, the new engine is finally ready to drop in. Can't wait to get back on the track!

Practice done with a very small difference over the whole field. Timed 42 fastest, with a bit of work to do. Still, pretty happy how the car is running

MINTY THE QUICK MAN IN MOORA

Official Release Thursday 25th April 2024.

Local Moora driver Gavin Minty has set the fastest time during official practice for the 2024 SSA Street Stock WA State Title presented by Iluka Resources which is being held this weekend.

Minty along with Kalgoorlie's Kayne Dellar were the only drivers to record a time inside the eighteen second bracket during the two hour session.

Official Practice was a fairly uneventful affair with fifty nine of the drivers in the field for this weekend recording a time.

Racing gets underway from 6pm local time tomorrow evening with a live stream available courtesy of Clay-Per-View from the Moora Speedway.
