A great day of Muay Thai action at the WBC Muay Thai amateur games today in Sydney. A mixed bag of results for the team, but still super proud of both boys performance today.

First up we had Aiden in a single matched bout against a strong southpaw kicker, Aiden looked great with his hands, in the clinch and his kicks were looking just as nice as his opponent when he threw them. Unfortunately his opponent knew the kick and move game too well and Aiden didn’t reply to enough of the body kicks, which led to his opponent getting the points decision. Aiden showed great form, and we know what he needs to work on for the next one.

Second up we had Ethan fighting in the tournament style bouts - winning his first match on points showing great pressure and heart to push for the 3 rounds for a strong victory. Good form in clinch, landed some nice teeps & body kicks, showed he can use his hands, & a couple of nice sweeps. His opponent for the final was unable to make the call for the second fight due to injury so Ethan went on to win the gold medal in his division. A bit disappointed he didn’t get the second fight in but still a great result!!

A big shoutout to all the team that made it down to support them. A great day of Muay Thai with some great talent coming through NSW in the sport.

We have both Aiden & Ethan fighting on the WBC Muay Thai games NSW this Saturday. They have both put in a big effort leading up to this event and the improvements have been massive. Can’t wait to see them put all that hard work into action in the ring this weekend!!
For those who are keen to come down and support ask around at the gym as we have a few car pooling down there. If you can’t make it to Sydney there is also a livestream for the event.
