FIBA RULE CHANGES EDUCATIONAL SESSION | REGISTRATIONS - NOW OPEN

With some major important changes coming from 1st October 2026. It's important for all referees, coaches and organisers to understand the changes to the rules.

Run by Australian FIBA Instructor, senior NBL and WNBL referee coach Chris Clarke. Chris has many years of experience in refereeing and refereeing coaching at the highest levels and has helped develop many of the current National League and International referees in Australia and New Zealand.

Expressions of Interest are needed for the upcoming 26-27 Carnival Season.

***Please Note: This is for the Yorkers association junior teams, NOT your Club registrations (your Clubs will advise when their player registrations are open)

If you are an U10, U12, U14, U16 or U18 player, looking to participate in a Yorkers team, you need to complete the form, using this link:

There is a $20 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT for players registering their details.

We would also like any person who is prepared to take on Coaching or Team Managing or attend Carnivals as a Referee, to complete the form, expressing their interest. There is no fee to express your interest as a Coach, Team Manager or Referee.

The form will only be available until Friday 31st July, so please get registered as soon as possible.

Depending upon the number of players who express interest, will determine if trials will need to be held. If trials are required, those age-group players will be advised of dates and times.

Training dates and times will be advised in due course

U14 FDP TRIALS | REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN

SA Country Basketball is pleased to announce registrations for the 2026/27 U14 Future Development Program (FDP) trials are now open!

The trials are open for all athletes born in 2014 and 2015, who live in country South Australia.

Wednesday 22nd July 2026 in the function room at CCSLC at 6.30pm.

As the following positions were not filled at our AGM, we are again calling for nominations for the following positions for this coming season 2026/2027.
The honorariums are listed with the positions.

President -$2000
Vice-president- $1000
Secretary- $4000
Junior Umpire Coordinator -$2000

It is at an urgent stage for these positions to be filled, especially the president and secretary roles.
There is a real possibility that there will be no association basketball played here if the president and secretary roles are not filled at this special AGM.
This would include our Yorkers association teams which would not be at any carnivals or state trials.

Good afternoon,

SA Country Basketball is excited about the upcoming U12 & U13 North Development Day to be held in Kadina on Sunday June 28th.

The purpose of the development day is to give country athletes and coaches an opportunity to experience a training delivered by SA Country in preparation for the upcoming U12 & U13 development camp and U14 Future Development Program Trials later in the year.

Can you please reach out to any coaches from your association who you think should attend this development day. It is a fantastic opportunity for coaches to expand their knowledge and understanding of modern coaching techniques in line with the SA Country style of play.
