One Shot, On The Spot. Making the Most of the Action in Front of Me to get that great Single Sports P That is my challenge of taking action sports photos.

The philosophy behind my hobby is that you make the most of the equipment at hand, by getting the settings, the subject and the surroundings to come together at the precise moment to hit the shutter button and capture the photo. Making the most of the situation and getting that One Shot, On The Spot. I challenge myself to take the moment of live sport with the push of the shutter button for that o

ne great photo as it is. Miss the shot, then the moment is gone - just the photo that was taken to upload and display.

Been a long time since I have posted anything to my pages...
Been even longer since we have been able to go back to Wagga Speedway. The phoenix has risen, due to hard work from a lot of dedicated people and local businesses to bring this place back to life after 20+ years.
I was never going to miss seeing the 410 Sprintcars fighting for the points in a round of the NSW Sprintcars Series Inland Showdown - seeing these beasts fight it out on the clay track back in Wagga brought back many memories for me. Great night of racing, even though the evening got cancelled by rain just before the finals were due to run.
Thanks to everyone involved bringing Wagga Speedway back to life. (I also contributed in a very tiny way, by sponsoring a catch fence pole, in memory of my late Dad's speedway racing number #72 from when he raced speedway, way back in the late 70s early 80s) Till next time.

Last weekend, Wagga Wagga hosted the 2024 NSW Veterans O55's NSW Cricket Championships.
These photos were captured in the Division 1 Final between Central North and Port Jackson Red played at McPherson Oval North Wagga. The match was won by Central North claiming the title of NSW Champions.

Been a long time between photographing sport events... So I was very thankful to my wife for driving us over to Canberra to watch the Capital Football - Official State League Mens divison 1 Grand Final between ANU Football Club and Weston Molonglo Football Club - and what a game it was. 1 all after regular time, still one all after xtra time and finally a win to the Weston Molongo side 5 - 4 after a penalty shoot out.

Throwback time - 6 years ago...

So many things have changed in our day to day activities over the last few years. Been great to see community sport almost getting through a full season - apart from the cancelled round this week due to rain this week ⚽ bring on finals in a few weeks.
