Last weekend, Wagga Wagga hosted the 2024 NSW Veterans O55's NSW Cricket Championships.
These photos were captured in the Division 1 Final between Central North and Port Jackson Red played at McPherson Oval North Wagga. The match was won by Central North claiming the title of NSW Champions.

Been a long time between photographing sport events... So I was very thankful to my wife for driving us over to Canberra to watch the Capital Football - Official State League Mens divison 1 Grand Final between ANU Football Club and Weston Molonglo Football Club - and what a game it was. 1 all after regular time, still one all after xtra time and finally a win to the Weston Molongo side 5 - 4 after a penalty shoot out.

So many things have changed in our day to day activities over the last few years. Been great to see community sport almost getting through a full season - apart from the cancelled round this week due to rain this week ⚽ bring on finals in a few weeks.

Drove over to Canberra to spend the day in the rally service park and out in Kowen State Forest watching the Australian Rd 1, New South Wales Rd 1 and East Coast Classic Rd 1 Rally Championships.

This made for some very exciting 4WD & 2WD action from many different manufacturers amongst the entry list.

After having a break from my photography, yesterday afternoon saw my camera come out to play at the Capital Football - Official FFA Cup Round 3 matchup between Wagga City Wanderers v Majura Football Club

A very hot Autumn afternoon in the sun at the beautiful Junee Jaguars Soccer Club Burns Park #2 saw the local Wagga team take an early lead and then go on to double the scoreline late in the 1st half that saw the Wanderers go into the break 2 nil up, courtesy of a brace from young Samson Lucas making his first grade football debut.

The 2nd half again had Majura’s eager attack waste several good chances that come to nought with many off side raids called back by the officials. Majura managed to trouble the scoreboard late in the game to jag a goal back, but it was not enough to defeat the Wanderers with the final score of 2 – 1 which will now see the Wanderers proceed to round 4 of the National Football knockout competition.

Had a crack at some late afternoon/evening action photos last night, something I haven't done much of before.

Picked a juicy game too, packed with action in the Football Wagga Nankivell Cup elimination semi final between Henwood Park FC Scrub Turkeys v Lake Albert Soccer Club Black Sharks.
Tough and physical and a very close win to the Henwood Park Scrub Turkeys on this occasion with a narrow 1 nil win.
They kept their season alive and now progess to next weeks grand final qualifier against their club mates team, the Sparrows.

Perfect weather last Sunday for more Pascoe Cup action in Football Wagga's 1st Division with my photos from the top of the ladder clash between Tolland Wolves Football Club v Henwood Park FC

The Hawks led 1 nil at the break, then scored 3 more goals in the second half to win this fixture and stay on top of the ladder. Hawks 4 - Wolves nil.

A few photos taken at the Football Wagga Gardiner Shield match between Tolland Wolves Football Club v Henwood Park FC - a very entertaining match that saw the Hawks lead 2 nil at the halftime break. The Wolves then scored 3 consecutive second half goals to take the lead, before the Hawks scored the equaliser late in the game. Wolves 3 - Hawks 3.
