As another fantastic Jugiong Polocrosse Club Carnival comes to an end, we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to the incredible people who made the weekend possible.
Firstly, to all of our amazing sponsors – thank you for your generous support. Without your contribution, weekends like this simply wouldn't be possible. Your support helps us put on a carnival that everyone can enjoy, and we're incredibly grateful for your continued commitment to our club and community.
A very special congratulations goes to Donna Weston on being awarded a Life Membership of the Jugiong Polocrosse Club. This recognition couldn't be more deserved. Your dedication, countless hours of volunteering, and unwavering commitment to our club over so many years have helped shape Jugiong into what it is today. We are so proud to call you one of our own, and we congratulate you on this wonderful and well-earned achievement. We would also like to thank you for your tremendous efforts behind the bar all weekend, it was greatly appreciated.
A massive thank you to Matt, Dean and Troy, who kept everyone well-fed all weekend, working tirelessly behind the BBQ. From the early starts to the last sausage off the grill, your hard work and delicious food certainly didn't go unnoticed.
To all of our wonderful canteen ladies, thank you for giving up your weekend to volunteer your time. Your smiles, hard work and willingness to help kept everything running smoothly and ensured no one went hungry or without a coffee. We truly appreciate everything you do for our club.
A huge thank you to Hayley and Sandra for spending the weekend in the office, keeping on top of the draws, paperwork and all the behind-the-scenes organisation. It's a job that often goes unnoticed, but it's absolutely essential to keeping a carnival running smoothly.
To all the boys who gave up their Friday to prepare the grounds, setting up the fields, painting lines, putting up speakers and making sure everything was ready before the first game—thank you. Your efforts meant the carnival was ready to go from the very first whistle.
A special thank you to Peta for preparing an amazing Saturday night meal. It was the perfect way to bring everyone together after a big day of polocrosse, and it was enjoyed by all.
And of course, thank you to our Super Suz for creating another incredible dessert on Saturday night. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet finish to a wonderful evening.
A very heartfelt thank you goes to Lisa, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes before, during and after the carnival. Your countless hours of organising, coordinating and problem-solving helped make the entire weekend run seamlessly. So much of what you do happens quietly in the background, but it certainly doesn't go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do for our club.
Finally, thank you to every single Jugiong member who pitched in wherever they were needed. Whether you were setting up, packing away, umpiring, scoring, picking up rubbish, helping in the canteen, moving equipment, lending a hand without being asked, or simply stepping in wherever needed—you all played a part in making the weekend the success that it was.
Our club is built on volunteers, teamwork and community spirit, and this weekend was a perfect example of that. We are incredibly lucky to have such a hardworking, generous and supportive group of people who are always willing to help.
