Shout out to Wolves SBISC Futsal for organising a really fun inter-club tourney today!

The day went smoothly and both our teams had a lot of fun. Our Jets navy blue team took out the Major League Shield with 4 wins from 4, including a memorable 3-1 Jets derby win in round 1!

It was a well run tourney and we look forward to participating in more inter-club tourneys in the future!!

Big congratulations to Muatasim Al-Busaidi who has received the MSLB Golden Glove Award for the 2025 winter season!!

Despite missing several games this season due to a badly dislocated toe, Mo returned like he was never injured. Mo played consistently well in the Jets goal, and could always be relied upon when our defences failed us!!

Well done Mo and a very well deserved award for a highly talented shot stopper!!

Yesterday’s MSLB semi final marked our end to the 2025 winter season, as we succumbed to a 1-0 loss (3-1 on aggregate) to Inter Perth.

Entering the 2nd leg 2-1 down, we simply did not produce the quality needed on the night to break down an organised Inter outfit.

Muatasim Al-Busaidi made some good saves, repelling numerous long range efforts throughout the game. The match winner came in the later stages of the 2nd half, as our opponents nicked possession in our own half, before firing a powerful shot which our GK made contact with, but was unable to keep out. This goal effectively put the tie beyond reach.

Despite our best efforts, we were unable to go a step further than the 2024 winter season, falling to another slender semi final defeat. In 2 games of tight margins, errors in key moments of both legs ultimately separated the 2 sides.

Good morning all! This evening is our MSLB semi final 2nd leg against Inter Perth.

We enter the tie 2-1 down, after we pushed for a winner with 10 secs left last weekend, but got dispossessed and then hit on the break, conceding the match winner with 0.9 of a second left.

This goal changes the dynamic of the 2nd leg tie, as we now have to win this match to stay alive this season! We know all too well that Inter are a very organised and experienced team, so being at a disadvantage is as tough as it gets. Though, if the 1st leg is anything to go by, this semi final is far from over and can go either way. Expect another exciting and tight contest, with both sides vying for their spot in the MSLB cup final!!

*Can Jets Futsal Club turn the tie on its head and sn**ch a spot the final? Or will Inter maintain their advantage and book their place in next weekend’s decider with Wolves? Tonight we shall find out…

Shout out to Muatasim Al-Busaidi who has featured in the MSLB team of the week following our semi final (1st leg) fixture.

Mo had another solid game in goals, making a few good saves. One comes to mind where he saved an extremely powerful shot with his chest from close range in the 2nd half!! Despite Mo’s best efforts last weekend, we succumbed to a last second match winner, which we now have to try and overturn in the return leg!!

Anyhow, well played Mo and we hope to make another Futsal Supa-Liga WA - Youth, SLB & SLC team of the week appearance or 2 before the season concludes!!

Yesterday, our opponents scored with 0.9 of a second remaining to earn a come from behind 2-1 win in our SF first leg.

First half was goalless, with both teams being very well organised. Though both goalkeepers were called into action a couple of times.

Second half. We were unlucky not to score with a Michael Berlingeri free kick rattling the frame of the goal. Though, we did take the lead when a Michael Berlingeri dinked pass found Remo Venditti, who then laid a pass to Aaron Lopresti for an easy tap in. Unfortunately, our lead didn’t last long with an Inter Perth player cutting inside from the right side and dinking a finish past Muatasim Al-Busaidi at the near post. Both Al Busaidi and the Inter GK made some good saves after, with the Inter keeper sadly sustaining a head injury following some brave goalkeeping. We missed a glorious opportunity to take a 2-1 lead late in the game with a chipped shot beating the keeper and swinging agonisingly wide of the goal post. With 10 secs left, we went for the win, but it proved costly as we lost possession, and our opponents hit us on the break. Betim Ziba laid the ball across goal for his team mate to tap home the match winner into an empty net with 0.9 of a second left on the clock.

Fortunately for us, we still have a chance to turn things around in the 2nd leg, though the last second goal puts us at a disadvantage entering this 2nd leg fixture!

Good morning all!! This arvo we have our MSLB Cup SF (1st leg) against Inter Perth.

Our opponents topped their group in the regular season, tasting defeat just once. Inter knocked out Wolves in the quarter finals. Meanwhile, we finished 2nd in our group despite not playing with a regular goalkeeper between rounds 2 and 5, and earned a hard fought 4-2 aggregate win against Perth United in the quarter finals.

Last time we played our opponents in MSLB was the summer season, where they were formerly known as Hawks and Pumas. We lost 3-2 to Pumas before Christmas, and beat Hawks 2-0 in the tail end of the season. This semi final is hard to predict but we know it will prove a big test for our side!! Expect a highly competitive match with plenty to play for!!

As the last representative of Group 1, can our side enter the 2nd leg with an advantage, or will Inter Perth hold the upper hand in the return fixture? This weekend we shall find out…

Shout out to Kalin Naidoo who has featured in the MSLB team of the week (on the bench) for last weekend’s game.

Kalin helped our team to a 2-0 win on the night (and 4-2 aggregate score) against Perth United in the quarter finals. Kalin broke the deadlock before half time by unleashing a free kick into the top corner, before assisting our 2nd goal midway through the second half to help secure the victory.

Well played Kalin and we hope for more influential performances from our players throughout our upcoming Futsal Supa-Liga WA - Youth, SLB & SLC semi final!!

Yesterday evening, our MSLB side cemented a spot in the semi finals with a 2-0 win, and 4-2 overall aggregate score against Perth United.

First half, we went close to taking the lead as we hit the post early on, before an Aseel Al Busaidi shot hit the back of the net, but the ball was already out of play. Kalin Naidoo broke the deadlock right before half time, unleashing a free kick through a gap in the wall into the top corner.

Second half, our opponents seeked to apply more pressure and find a response. However, we doubled our lead after hitting United on the break. Christopher Doukaki came off the bench to find a cool finish, following a 1-2 off Kalin Naidoo. We were then able to see out the game, even with Kyle Standing picking up a 2nd yellow card and being shown his marching orders with 5 and a half minutes remaining.

We now look forward to a double legged semi final with Inter Perth, which will be a very challenging but mouth watering tie!!

Good morning all!! This evening we have our MSLB Cup QF (2nd leg) against Perth United.

In the 1st leg, we were twice forced to come from behind and sn**ch a 2-2 draw with 40 seconds remaining.

The draw effectively means this return leg becomes the knockout tie. If the 1st leg is anything to go by, this match is bound to be an exciting and highly competitive affair which could go all the way!! Both sides have it all to play for with a spot in the semi finals up for grabs!!

Can our MSLB side find a way past a highly organised Perth United outfit, or will our opponents march on to the semifinals? Tonight we shall find out…

Yesterday arvo, our MSLB side twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Perth United in our QF 1st leg.

First half, Muatasim Al-Busaidi made a great double save, as the United goalkeeper also had to be alert several times. Our opponents hit the front right before half time, from a side ball and a shot deflecting into the Jets goal.

Second half, it became more open ended, with both goalkeepers having their work cut out for them. Aseel Al Busaidi bagged his 2nd goal of the season with a low drilled effort into the bottom corner from distance. Our opponents restored their lead with minutes remaining after hitting us on the break. However, we threw everything at our opponents, and were rewarded with 45 seconds remaining thanks to a long range Blair Johnston effort finding the top corner!!

It’s the first time our MSLB side have drawn a match since round 1 of the 2023 winter season. The tie effectively leaves it all for both teams to play for in the 2nd leg, which will be an exciting fixture if this 1st leg tie is anything to go by!!
