We don’t usually announce signings… but this one was too big to keep quiet. 👀

JKCC is excited to welcome Mitchell Johnson to the club for the 2026/27 season, where he’ll line up in our 1st Grade side.

Not only will Mitch add serious firepower to our senior group, but we’re just as excited for the impact he’ll have across the whole club — from our juniors through to our ICL program.

Experience. Intensity. Left-arm heat. 🔥

Safe to say… we’re already looking forward to next season.

Young Volunteer of the Year – Jacob Edwards

This award recognises a young person who makes a genuine impact off the field — and this year, we couldn’t look past someone who continues to give so much to our club.

What stands out most is the willingness to put the club first.

While many players his age are focused purely on their own game and pushing to the next level, he consistently gives up his time to support others — helping build the next generation and strengthen the culture of JKCC.

From stepping into the Assistant Treasurer role to helping run and organise senior training, his contribution behind the scenes has been outstanding.

He’s also played a key role in supporting players transitioning through the club — working closely with our young men & woman as they make the step from junior to senior cricket — creating a welcoming and supportive environment for those coming through.

His leadership, humility and willingness to show up for others is what this award is all about.

A huge congratulations JJ — this recognition is incredibly well deserved.

What a way to finish the season 💚💛

Our 2nd XI are Grand Final champions after an outstanding win over Ballajura on the weekend. Finishing the season in 3rd and taking down the top side when it mattered most.

It wasn’t handed to them — it was earned through hard work, resilience and some seriously big moments under pressure.

Dan Brightwell led the charge with a brilliant 6/53, while Euan Allen capped off a huge performance with 50 runs, 3 catches, and well-deserved Umpire’s Player of the Match honours.

Our Year 8 Black boys have done it again, claiming the 2025/26 Grand Final and knocking off a side that hadn’t dropped a game all season — how good!

An incredible performance full of belief and composure when it mattered most. So proud to see this group back themselves, stay in the contest and get the job done right to the end.

Our Year 7 Green boys have claimed the Grand Final win this morning. — what a way to finish the season!

This group has been outstanding all year, earning top spot and now finishing as deserved premiers. So good to see their hard work pay off, backed by incredible support on the sidelines.

A special team, a special moment, and one the whole club is proud of 👏🐺

This weekend marks a massive milestone… 100 games of senior cricket 👏🏏

And if you know him, you know exactly what those 100 games have looked like. Week after week, he just turns up gets in, has a crack, and does whatever the team needs (usually with a few laughs along the way).

The numbers tell part of the story — over 1,400 runs, nearly 100 catches, and contributions right across the board. But anyone who’s played alongside him knows it’s way more than that.

He’s the kind of player every club needs. Reliable. Team-first. Brings the energy. Keeps things light when it matters most.

100 games is no small feat — it takes commitment, resilience, and a genuine love for the club.
