Spring working bee 2020 done and dusted. We had a great turnout of volunteers who mowed, sprayed, cleaned, and more. This was followed by a well earned BBQ prepared by Jeff Straney and crew. I was honored to receive an award for 30 years of being involved with the club.
After the BBQ some fun flights were were made with Jeff being thrilled in Martins CT4.
Later in the afternoon 11 helicopters arrived from Sydney for an overnight stay at Lake Crackenback. They were bused to and from their destination by Alpine Charters.

Hi Everyone!
The rain is very welcome but some sunshine soon would also provide better opportunities for us aviators.
Just a reminder that the Jindabyne Aero Club is holding a working bee on the airfield on Sunday 15 March between 1000 and 1300 hrs, followed by a BBQ. These working bees are organised whenever the airfield requires maintenance. The major task at the moment is mowing the grass and weeds. Hence, although we have a tractor/mower for major work, ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, etc are always welcome to manage the smaller areas (around the hangars, tracks, clubhouse, etc). Broken branches and other debris needs to be removed (trailers). Gable markers need to be replaced. Plenty to do! All hands on deck as many hands make light work!
It was also proposed in the Minutes of the last Committee meeting to hold a bbq/movie evening at Hangar 9 on the same day. This event has now been postponed until further notice due to recent events. It is hoped to re-schedule this evening before winter.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at 1000 on Sunday - please bring your own PPE.
Regards
Martin
