Congratulations to our older U13+ JLAC athletes who also qualified to compete at the Australian Athletics National Championships here in Brisbane last week. (You may have also seen it televised on 7Plus! 🙌🏻)

It’s such an accomplishment to even qualify to compete at these Nationals and we are so proud of you! 👏🏻

Special mention to Zarayah for bringing home TWO national medals, including the Gold for Triple Jump!

Oliver Lowe - U15 Boys
⭐️ 100m Hurdles - DNF due to clipping a hurdle
⭐️ 200m Hurdles - 9th in Australia (unfortunately having to pull out of the final injured 😔)

The 2026 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships go live tomorrow from 𝟖:𝟑𝟎𝐚𝐦, kicking off with the 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 — featuring each State bringing the energy with their War Cry 🙌

Our livestream will be hosted on YouTube, focusing on Track events, with commentary, athlete introductions, and post-race interviews 🎙️

Field events will be captured by officials and uploaded directly to the AthleticLIVE results platform. Medal presentations will be conducted separately and will not be live streamed.

Bupa Australia Try Para-Sports is delivered by Disability Sports Australia and Paralympics Australia, giving people with disability the opportunity to try a range of Para sports, meet and greet Paralympians, have fun with new friends and learn about local participation pathways.

These events are open to people with disability aged 10 and over and provide a welcoming space to get active, connect with others and discover new sporting opportunities. For those looking to learn about classification, there will also be classifiers available.

This event is free to attend, however registrations are required. Places are expected to fill quickly, so register today!

And last but definitely not least a massive thank you to all of our Committee Members who put in countless hours of work behind the scenes constantly each week (and throughout the whole year, not just the active season). It’s a huge job and without you there would not be a club 🫶🏼
