T'ai-Chi Moving Mindfully aims to promote health and well being to all through the study and practice of T'ai-Chi. It is a slow moving meditative exercise for relaxation, health and self defense. From China, T'ai-Chi has gained enormous popularity throughout the world for its health benefits. T'ai-Chi Moving Mindfully:
Is a continuous discipline that wakes our mind to body movement and gives empha

sis to relaxation and balance while we learn this most wonderful and ancient Chinese Art. We also have the opportunity to develop a view of our own mind patterns and may see how these can sometimes create tensions in the body. This is a discipline to allow the mind/body to let go and relax. Yang Style T'ai-Chi:
The form taught by Dave McCarthy with 'Moving Mindfully' is the Chen Man Ching 37 step form derived from the Yang Style 108 step form. The Classic principles of the art of T'ai-Chi are very much emphasized in the teaching and these include:
*Calm mind
*Relaxation or loosening of the body
*Sinking of the breath into the abdomen
*Proper postural alignment
