Yesterday the Jerramungup Golf Club & Jerramungup Bowling Club held a combined fun day for ANZAC Day.
This involved teams of 4 playing a 4-hole Ambrose first then heading over to the Bowls shed for some lunch and a few games of mixed 4’s with Corporate Bowls scoring.

This day was enjoyed by 31 adults and 3 kids, such an amazing turn out! This included full club members and first time players for both golf and bowls.

From all the comments we have heard, it was a very fun and successful day with the event raising approximately $1800 for Legacy WA.

Thank you to all that helped get this event up and running, along with the preparation involved in getting the golf course and bowling green ready for everyone to enjoy. A special thank you to Melly for cooking lunch and running the bar, and anyone else who chipped in somehow throughout the day, thank you!

BOWLS:
1st - Rivet, Kerran, Rowie & Az ( 6 points, 40 shots up)
2nd - Mal T, Andrea, Ash & Weeds ( 6 points, 9 shots up)
3rd - Mal B, Hine, Clayton & Tai (3 points, 22 shots up)

With such a well supported event we hope to run this again next year, thank you to everyone who supported this event and supporting Legacy WA.

Golf is back for 2026.
ANZAC Day Fun Day on this Saturday for 4 holes of golf followed by Bowls, with our first 9 holes on Sunday 3rd May.

Fixtures are attached along with our Registration Form for new members or players who haven’t got a Golf ID number.

EDIT - Last call for nominations, if you don’t have a team but wish to play please let us know, so you can be placed in a team. Names in by TONIGHT if possible please but you might be able to be squeezed into a team on the Day.

You don’t need to be a Golfer or Bowler, everyone is welcome. Golf Clubs and Bowls are available if you don’t have any.

Everyone meet at the Jerramungup Sports Club at 10am. Once teams have been finalised, hit-off will be about 10.30am.
Sausage sizzle lunch.
Bowls in the afternoon.

Everyone have fun and remember to dob in any “funnies” to the Fines Master.

All proceeds for the Day go to Legacy WA.

Come to our AGM while “Chase the Ace” is on at the Club, currently $1,050 so could be $1,100 if it doesn’t go off this Sunday.
We really need everyone’s support to get our course back up and running.

Our golf course has been mowed this week, all 18 holes but a bit rough as mower blades are worn out. There are no holes or flags from 10-18 yet. Also, quite a few fallen trees, but if you stay on fairway you should be okay (except on 17).

All visitors and non-members are most welcome to come and have a hit, but please remember to pay your $10 green fees. These fees go towards our fuel for the mower.
There is a QR code on fence near Men’s No 1 tee box and near the front door of the Sports Club. You can also pay by direct deposit to our account;

Management Committee Election:

The nomination period will commence on Friday, 19th September and conclude on Tuesday, 14th October at 5.00 pm.

To ensure diverse representation, Affiliated Clubs without existing representation on the Committee are encouraged to submit nominations.
The Committee convenes on the second Tuesday of each month, excluding January, with additional meetings scheduled as needed.

Please submit nominations via email to the Secretary at [email protected] by Tuesday, 14th October.

$10 Green Fees are now payable by all visitors and anyone not a financial member of our Golf Club.
Please scan the QR code on the sign at No 1 Men’s Tee Box with your phone for payment plus fees.

These funds will be going towards fuel costs for regular mowing and sweeping greens so the course is available all week.

Everyone is most welcome to have a social hit but we would love to see you on our fixtured days for a fun afternoon of golf. ⛳️
