🏆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 – 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿🏆

Last night at the Senior Presentation Night, Lauren Ponder was awarded the 2026 GRFC Club Person of the Year.

Lauren is one of those people who seem to be involved in almost every part of the Club. In 2026 alone, she managed the W16A-1s, served as U10/U11 Age Coordinator and Assistant Grading Coordinator, assessed MiniRoo referees, acted as Duty Officer, helped behind the bar at the Tiger Inn, managed our social media and communications, and was a key member of the Sub-Committee that designed our new playing strip for 2027 and beyond.

Lauren was also joint coordinator of our 2025 Bardon Tour.

What stands out most is not simply the number of roles Lauren takes on, but the enthusiasm, reliability and willingness she brings to each of them.

Tomorrow, Friday Sept 4th, we kick off two fantastic programs at Oyster Bay Oval! Don't miss out on the action:

Foundations of Football is back at Harrie Dening this September. Three practical evenings covering the basics of technique and the playing principles of the game, led by our Head of Football Development, Chris Gallo.

It is also a prerequisite for the Football Australia C Diploma, so it is the first step if you want to keep going.
