🏏 Squad Trials – April 2026 🏏

We’re holding squad trials this April at the Norm O’Neil Cricket Centre and would love to see any new & returning talent!

Trial Dates:
📅 Saturday 18th April — 3:00pm–5:00pm
📅 Tuesday 21st April — 6:00pm–8:00pm

Season runs from October 2026 – March 2027

Competition Format:

Third Grade: Saturday afternoons on synthetic fields.

Other Grades: Sundays on turf fields

Players must be turning 14 during the season to be considered.

GRAND FINAL – 12C MATCH UPDATE
Como Jannali 53 defeated by Engadine 7/54

The U12C’s remarkable nine-match winning streak may have ended one wicket short of a premiership, but the grand final against Engadine U12-2 was a performance full of heart, discipline and fight.

Sent in to bat after Engadine won the toss, Como Jannali had to rebuild after early setbacks. Charlie held the innings together superbly, retiring not out after a patient knock that gave his side something to defend. The most important partnership came with Jake, whose calm support helped steady the innings when wickets were falling. Later, Spencer worked hard to keep the scoreboard moving which reflected the determination that ran through the whole batting effort.

Defending a modest total, Como Jannali were outstanding with the ball and in the field. Lucas set the tone immediately with a maiden and then produced a brilliant caught-and-bowled wicket later in the chase. Gabe pinned the batters in, conceding almost nothing and claiming a crucial wicket in a spell packed with dot balls. Charlie backed that up beautifully with two key breakthroughs, while Liam struck an important blow and kept the pressure on. Harry was extremely efficient, delivering a miserly spell that gave Engadine no easy runs at all.

In the field, Como Jannali were every bit as sharp. Tim’s early stumping was a standout moment, Ashton held a nail-bitting catch, and Jake grabbed another causing Engadine’s chase to wobble badly.

In the end, Engadine just scraped past the run total with no wickets in hand. It was a valiant, near-miraculous effort – and one the boys can be enormously proud of.

GRAND FINAL – SG-1 MATCH UPDATE
Como Jannali Blue 90 defeated St Pats 84

In a fantastic close match Como Jannali Blue 90, defeated St Pats 84 to win the Grand Final.

Our girls saved their best team wide performance for the final, delivering across batting, bowling and fielding.

Highlights:
– Best team batting scorecard of the season
– Gen bowled 2/8 (4)
– Zoe bowled 2/6 (3)
– Committed and accurate fielding by all

We’re incredibly proud of all the girls who have demonstrated commitment to learning new skills, teamwork, sportsmanship and great attitudes across the season. Congratulations girls!

After a big season of cricket, our junior teams will be playing in their Grand Finals this weekend.

🏏 From Captain to State Team – What an Achievement! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Como Jannali’s Callum Walker on an incredible cricket milestone!

Callum recently Captained the MacKillop Cricket Team at the NSWPSSA Boys Cricket Championships. Callum led the team all the way to the championship final and we are incredibly proud to share that Callum has now been selected for the NSW PSSA Cricket Team!

What an amazing effort… Congratulations Callum!

ROUND 19 – 12C-3 MATCH UPDATE
Como Jannali 5/81 defeated Gymea 80

Como Jannali U12-3’s through to the Grand Final!

Como Jannali U12-3 have stormed into next weekend’s Grand Final with a gutsy win over Gymea Bay, chasing down 81 in a tense clash. It also makes it eight wins on the bounce for the boys, who are hitting peak form at exactly the right time.

After winning the toss and sending Gymea in, Como’s bowlers set the tone with top-notch fielding by all the boys. Liam O’Loughlin ripped the match open, finishing with a superb 4/9 off 3 overs, including a decisive three-wicket over that cleaned up Gymea’s tail!

Chasing a modest target, Como stayed composed through a couple of wickets, with key partnerships steadying the run chase. Lucas Ford then piled on the pressure with a barrage of boundaries at the perfect moment - cracking three sixes and two fours.

Even with wickets falling late, the boys sealed a confident win to book their place on the big stage. Grand Final, here we come!

Como Jannali 101 defeated by Gymea 145

12A’s loss to Gymea Bay in the semi finals today was a tough way to end the season, but all boys played with great spirit in muggy conditions at Corea Street.

This team exemplify team spirit, love of the game and playing with respect in a supportive environment.

Each boy grew as a player developing their game and encouraging their team mates at every training and match.

A really great season for the 12A’s.
