NWBA Women Championship Triples were played at Port Germein on Tuesday 18th November. Sponsored by LYNCH CONCRETING.

NWBA Women’s Event Manager Kaye Bottrall welcomed competitors and spectators to the Port Germein Bowling Club for the 2025 NWBA Women’s Championship Triples. A near perfect day for bowling saw eleven clubs: Caltowie; Crystal Brook; BHAS; Booleroo Centre; Gladstone; Jamestown; Melrose; Port Germein; Port Pirie and Wirrabara represented.
Port Germein hosted and catered for the event with morning and afternoon tea for spectators and competitors.
The event ran smoothly, and all competitors provided the spectators with good bowls and close matches. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected and unwanted visitor that made an appearance and caused a bit of a stir for those present. The Bar Manager removed the unwanted visitor (snake) from the premises without a fuss. And the Bowls continued without disruption.
The Final Match between Jamestown and BHAS for the Champions title was a nail biter. Both teams produced fantastic bowls with lead changes throughout the match. The match came down to the last end and skippers playing their final bowls. A thrilling match with the eventual winners Jamestown team claiming the match fifteen shots to fourteen shots.
Presentations concluded the days play with the Winners Jamestown and Runners Up BHAS presented by Kaye Bottrall with NWBA wine glass and Prize money from Lynch Concreting Laura the event’s Sponsor.
