🔴⚫️ COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT - MEN’S DIVISION 2 COACH 26/27 🔴⚫️

The Jabiru Bombers are excited to welcome Allan May as our Men’s Division 2 Coach for the upcoming season!

Previously a long-time St Mary’s man, multiple Division 2 premiership wins and an experienced junior coach, Allan brings a strong focus on culture, accountability, development and club unity.

He’s no stranger to the Bombers either — featuring in three Division 2 games for Jabiru last season and with strong family and community connections throughout the club. His involvement in rugby across Darwin also adds to his depth of experience in local sport.

With a clear vision to build a strong connection between our Division 1 and Division 2 programs, we’re looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the Bombers.

🔴⚫️ Jabiru Bombers at the 2026 Kurrung Sports Carnival - FULL WEEKEND LINE UP 🔴⚫️

The Bombers are proudly representing on the courts and the field this weekend and we want you with us!!

📍FRIDAY NIGHT
- Men’s & Women’s Basketball from 5:00pm
- Basketball Grand Finals @ 8.30pm

📍SATURDAY AM
- Men’s AFL Competition

📍 SATURDAY PM
- Women’s AFL Showcase @ 12.25pm
- Men’s AFL Grand Final @ 2.30pm
- Presentations to follow

PLUS:
- Canteen open ALL DAY 🍫🥤
- Merchandise stall open ALL DAY with specials on last seasons merchandise

We will be covering the action all weekend long so stay tuned on our socials 📸

Over the weekend, leaders from our club and members of our committee attended the NTFL Leaders Forum — a practical club capability day focused on supplier connections, football department learning, leadership, volunteer planning and clear actions for the season ahead. 💪🏽🏉

A huge shoutout to our committee, who are all volunteers giving their own time, energy and expertise to help make our club the best it can be.

Introducing your season 26/27 Women’s Team Managers Bridget and Leah!

Both these two have been contributing to the club in different capacities throughout their time in Jabiru - with Bridget part of the club committee and Leah continuing the role of timekeeper on the weekends.

Being a volunteer at this club is both rewarding and a very big undertaking, so we are incredibly glad that these two will be able to support each other in the role. ❤️🖤

Introducing your Div 2 Women’s Assistant Coach for the 26/27 Season - Tom “Bomber” Hume !! 💣

Tom has had an illustrious career with the Jabiru Bombers Mens: a premiership player, Best Backman award winner and only narrowly missing best first year player to Cyril.

Tom will run the Jabiru based training sessions for the Women and be the Women’s team runner on the weekends. We are incredibly grateful for Tom to be signing on with us this season! Welcome Bomber ❤️🖤
