Ipswich Musketeers Baseball Club

Ipswich Musketeers Baseball Club Est. 1954 we are one of QLD's oldest baseball clubs and the only baseball club in the Ipswich LGA. A-Grade premierships include 1967, 1985, 1986, 1987.

We provide social and competitive baseball regardless of age, gender or ability. We have teams from T-Ball (U8) all the way through to Masters (35+). Ipswich Musketeers was formed in 1954 originally to play in the Brisbane fixtures, but as the game developed in Ipswich, there were sufficient teams to run a local association. A sporting ground in Ipswich to be located at Church Street became availa

ble with Spring and Newtown streets, East Ipswich and Musketeers being successful tenderer from a large group of applicants. After time the association waned and now Musketeers are the only team representing Ipswich in the Brisbane competition. Over years however, Ipswich has won the premiership in every grade, including club championship.

*** EOIs ARE OPEN FOR JUNIORS FUTURES LEAGUE 2026 ***

Juniors Competition Dates:
Sundays from 16 August to 13 September 2026

Age Range:
U14 - Players born in 2013 and 2014
U16 and U18 - Players born in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012

U14
The competition will introduce a revised format this year, with a stronger focus on player development through a skill-based instructional approach centred on learning and improvement. Each session will feature structured training activities designed to build core baseball skills including hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, and game awareness before progressing into a full game where players will return to their drafted team and can apply these skills in a competitive environment. This half training/half game model promotes participation, confidence, teamwork, and long-term athletic development while ensuring the competition remains enjoyable, engaging, and educational for all players.

U16/U18
The competition will once again feature doubleheader Sundays for the combined U16 and U18 age groups, creating a stronger and more competitive environment that will challenge and benefit all participating athletes. This structure provides players with an excellent opportunity to showcase their abilities while competing at a higher level, helping prepare them for the upcoming season and future representative pathways.

We wouldn’t be where we are without our volunteers. A big cheers to our volunteers for National Volunteer Week.

We wouldn’t be where we are without our volunteers.

A big cheers to our volunteers for National Volunteer Week.

Behind every first pitch, every perfectly lined diamond, every junior player’s first hit, and every championship celebration is a team of volunteers helping make baseball happen.

This National Volunteer Week, Baseball Queensland proudly recognises the volunteers who are the heartbeat of baseball communities across the state.

From early mornings preparing fields to late nights closing canteens after extra innings, volunteers are involved in every part of the game.

They coach teams, umpire games, score from the sidelines, organise fixtures, wash uniforms, drive buses, run tournaments, and welcome new families into the baseball community.

The 2026 National Volunteer Week theme, Your Year to Volunteer, celebrates the incredible impact volunteers make while encouraging more Australians to step up and become part of something bigger.

In baseball, volunteering is about more than filling a role — it is about keeping the game alive.

So this year we want to say cheers to our extended roster. To the names that you won't find on the line up card. All the same, they've made it to our MVP list.

Make sure you take the time to give them a shout out not just this week but every week.🙏

Our ladies had a ball playing in the Queensland Baseball Masters at Surfers Paradise over the weekend.

With only one day washed out (unlike last year), one baseball debut, one forced pitching outing, one broken finger and one Home Run 💣, the girls did us proud and brought home the bronze! 🥉

Shout out to John and G who also played as friendship players for Sunshine Coast Riptides.

What a big weekend some of our players had at Redcliffe!
State Titles has wrapped up for another year and we couldn’t be prouder of each of our players who represented the region at these games, from Little League through to Seniors..

Big wins, some loses and a whole lot of fun was had. ⚾️⚾️⚾️

Big thank you also to the adults who volunteered, scored, umpired, coached, drove, provided snacks, cheered and supported our kids to allow these events happen. 👌
