FRECKS RICOCHETING ACRES

Blue Roan Gelding
Q-98207
4 Years Old
Approx. 15hh (unofficial)

Breeding: Smart Little Lena, Docs Freckle Oak, Acres Destiny, Doc Spinifex, Peptoboonsmal, Peptos Stylish Oak and more.

Rikki is a beautifully put-together blue roan gelding with an outstanding temperament and three quality paces. Well bred and versatile, he has all the foundations in place to continue developing into an exceptional performance horse or all-rounder.

Rikki has recently spent a solid six weeks with a campdraft trainer and, despite being young and still green to competition events, he has gained valuable exposure and experience. He has been ridden by capable children and has attended cattle clinics, trail rides, and has completed plenty of miles out on the trails.

He has been exposed to a variety of environments and obstacles, including cattle, bison, gates, water crossings, dogs, road riding, and general farm work. Rikki has shown no nasty behaviour and is a genuine, willing horse that takes new experiences in stride.

Rikki is very much a “whoa before go” type and is happy to turn his hoof to whatever is asked of him. He has a great stop, understands the basics of rollbacks, and is progressing well in his education. He works softly in the bridle, can travel collected, and is equally happy on a loose rein.

Like many young horses, if left out of work for an extended period he may have a small hump on the first ride back, however a quick lunge beforehand resolves this. He can also be difficult to catch until he has built a relationship with his handler.

Rikki would suit a confident teenager or capable adult looking to further his education in campdrafting, challenge, cow horse, or general performance disciplines. While he has been ridden by children, due to his age and level of education, we believe he would be best suited to a capable child under experienced supervision or an experienced horse home.

ASTEC LEXI

Registration Pending
15.1hh (unofficially)
Bay Mare

Sire: Conair (ASH 174556)
Dam: Nyrie Durack (QH A2-4786)

ASTEC Lexi is a beautifully bred young mare with three quality paces and all the attributes to develop into a versatile performance horse.

Started as a 2-year-old and then given time to mature, Lexi has recently returned to work and has been back under saddle for the past four weeks. While still very green, she is already showing a strong work ethic, a naturally big stop, and quick, athletic turns.

Lexi can be a little timid on the ground until she builds trust with her handler and, due to her limited exposure and education, can be spooky under saddle at times. She has recently been introduced to cattle and has had her first experience tracking cattle, which she has handled well.

She is an athletic, well-bred mare with the potential to excel in a variety of disciplines, including mustering, campdrafting, challenges, and general station work. Lexi possesses an extremely soft mouth, a trainable nature, and a genuine willingness to learn.

As she is still young and green, Lexi is best suited to an experienced rider who can continue her education and bring out her full potential. If given extended time off, she may be fresh and can benefit from a quick lunge before riding.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a quality young mare with a bright future ahead of her.

🖤 THORWOOD BLACK ROSE 🖤
“Pet”
• Registered APSB Pony
• 12-Year-Old Mare
• 11.2hh

Pet is a proven, genuine children’s pony who has spent her entire life being ridden, loved, and handled by kids. She is the type of pony that is becoming increasingly difficult to find—safe, experienced, and well-educated with a wealth of exposure behind her.

After some time off due to her young owner losing interest, Pet has spent the past two weeks back in work with us and has been an absolute delight. She returned to work without issue, proving herself to be sensible, reliable, and free from any nasties. She can easily be taken straight from the paddock and put back into work.

Pet has extensive experience in:
• Showing
• Children’s riding lessons
• Pet therapy programs
• School holiday camps
• Trail riding

Previously owned by Katie Kelly, Pet was regularly used to teach children to ride and participated in school holiday riding camps, giving her a fantastic foundation and extensive experience with young riders.

Pet is the perfect pony for a child to love, pamper, and enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a lead-line pony, a show pony, a confidence-giving all-rounder, or simply a best friend, Pet is sure to fit the bill. She thrives on attention and enjoys being around people.

She is easy to catch, float, handle, groom, wash, and lunge, and has absolutely no dirt. Pet is happy to work in open paddocks, enjoys trail riding, and has proven to be a very sensible pony with no spook.

Pet is a naturally forward-moving pony and, as such, would be best suited to a capable child rather than a rider looking for their first off-lead pony. She is also fantastic on the lunge, making her a great option for children learning and developing their riding skills.

She would also make a fantastic all rounder from barrels to team sorting or cow sports

Under saddle, Pet works in a lovely soft frame through all paces and would make a beautiful show pony for a capable young rider. She also happily carries a small adult.

ADO
Sire: One Stylish Pepto
Dam: Polo Pony
DOB: December 2009
Height: Approx. 15.2hh

Ado is a well-seasoned, versatile gelding with an extensive polo background, having successfully played up to 12-goal level and 4-goal level.

He is a quiet and easy horse to have around, with a genuine “get on and go” attitude even after time off. Ado is a good doer, has strong, solid feet, and is excellent for the farrier.

Ado is equally happy spending the day mustering, trail riding on a loose rein, or enjoying a swim. He travels well in both floats and trucks, gets along well with other horses, and can be led from or lead other horses with ease. He is quiet enough to be ridden ba****ck in a halter and thoroughly enjoys water and swimming.

Having spent his life as a polo pony, Ado is highly educated, responsive, and well-trained. He would be well suited to someone wanting to learn polo on a reliable horse, or alternatively, someone seeking a safe, experienced mount for general riding or a teen wanting a safe mount to go into the cattle sports.

While he is not suitable for a complete beginner due to his level of education he would be ideal for a confident novice rider and up , a capable child progressing from ponies, a capable teenager, or a rider returning to horses after time away.

Ado would also transition well into a range of cow horse disciplines, including campdrafting, team sorting, penning, or general stock work. Equally, he would make a wonderful pleasure horse for someone looking for a safe and enjoyable trail riding companion.

Ado is not a spooky horse. At most, he may occasionally prick his ears and take a look at something unfamiliar, but he has consistently proven to be sensible and reliable in new environments.

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine, experienced all-rounder with an outstanding temperament and plenty left to offer his next rider.

Bay Mare
8 Years Old
Approx. 14.1hh (unofficial)

Chilli is a beautifully put-together mare with three quality paces, a kind nature, and a solid foundation that makes her a versatile prospect for a range of disciplines.

For the past two years, Chilli has been ridden and enjoyed by a capable young rider. During this time, she has attended pony club, cattle clinics, trail rides, and various outings, gaining valuable experience and exposure.

Chilli is a forward-moving mare with a great stop, soft mouth, and the foundations of rollback work already established. She is capable of working both collected and on a loose rein, making her an enjoyable ride for a confident and capable horseperson.

When moving to a new home, Chilli can take a few weeks to settle in and build trust with her new handlers. She may be a little timid to catch initially until she becomes familiar with her surroundings and people. She has shown no nasty behaviour, although she can occasionally feel tense during saddling.

While Chilli has been successfully ridden by a child rider, she is best suited to a confident teen or capable adult who can provide clear guidance and continue her education. She has the potential to excel in cattle sports, pleasure riding, pony club activities, or as a versatile all-round mount for someone wanting to enjoy a bit of everything.

In an experienced horse home, Chilli would make an exceptional horse for the whole family to enjoy, with the versatility to suit a range of riders and activities.

With her quality breeding, athletic ability, and trainable nature, Chilli would also make an excellent addition to a breeding program as a future broodmare.

Gelding
6 Years Old
Approx. 15.2hh (unofficial)

Banjo is a quality young gelding with an exceptional temperament, proven versatility, and a solid foundation that makes him an ideal all-round performance horse.

Brought along steadily and correctly, Banjo has gained extensive exposure through:

• Mustering and station work
• Campdraft environments and putting back cattle
• Western trail and obstacle clinics
• Road and traffic riding
• School pick-up rides
• Swimming and trail riding
• Obstacle work and log jumping

As a lightly campaigned 3-year-old, Banjo made an immediate impression in the show ring, winning the 3-Year-Old Futurity at the Central Tablelands Branch Show at his very first outing.

Banjo is a well-educated gelding with all the buttons while remaining forgiving and uncomplicated to ride. He is soft in the bridle, neck reins, responds well to leg aids, and confidently opens and closes gates. He rides equally well in a snaffle, bitless bridle, or halter.

He is a versatile, quality gelding with proven breeding, a wonderful nature, and the education to excel across a range of disciplines. Horses with his combination of temperament, exposure, and training are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Banjo has been ridden by capable junior riders and would make an excellent horse for a confident family environment. He can occasionally have a small spook, however these have never developed into any nasty behaviour and are well within the scope of a capable rider.

Whether you’re looking for a competitive show horse, a reliable partner for cattle work, trail riding, or a quality all-rounder, Banjo has the education and versatility to fit the role.

Please note: Banjo is not suitable for beginners and will not be sold as a child’s horse. He would be best suited to a confident and capable teen or adult rider wanting a flashy, educated horse with plenty to offer.
