Ipswich Hockey has adopted the recent changes from FIH regarding jewellery and watches.

This policy has been adopted by Hockey Australia and Hockey Queensland for all tournaments and was recommended that all member associations also adopt.

🚫Players must not wear jewellery or watches during matches
⛔️Any jewellery that CANNOT be removed should be appropriately covered.

Ipswich Hockey By-Laws have now been updated to reflect this.

This weekend, we come together as an association to celebrate inclusion, on and off the field.

Pride round is an opportunity to come together as an association and showcase our inclusion. At IHA, we strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of sexuality, gender, pronouns, identity and culture. Sport is for everyone, and this weekend is an opportunity to showcase that.

Pride Round is now celebrated across major sports leagues in Australia, including through Hockey Queensland and Hockey Australia, reflecting a nationwide commitment to inclusivity in sport. We are proud to be part of that movement here in Ipswich.

All senior men's teams (Divisions 1–4) and junior boys teams (J1–J2) have qualified for the mid-season finals!

What an accomplishment! It reflects the continued strength of our club, the dedication and hard work of our players and coaches, and the unwavering support of our volunteers, families, and supporters.

To have every men's and boys team earn a spot in the mid-season finals is something we are incredibly proud of. It highlights the depth of talent, commitment, and club culture that continues to drive success across all levels.

Our mid-season final campaign kicked off last weekend with our division 1 men in a thrilling, high-scoring contest against Hancock Brothers. Despite a tremendous effort, the boys narrowly went down 5–4 in an entertaining game that showcased the determination and fighting spirit of the team.

While the result didn't fall our way, the performance was one the club can be proud of, and we thank the players, coaches, and supporters who got behind the team.

With plenty more mid-season final action still to come, we wish all our remaining teams the very best as they take the field and represent Norths with pride.

This weekend, many of our Senior Ladies and dedicated club volunteers proudly represented Ipswich at the 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬!

It was fantastic to see our Norths family competing across multiple divisions, with:

🏆 Team 1 playing in the Division 1 5th/6th Playoff
🏆 Team 2 playing in the Division 4 5th/6th Playoff
🏆 Team 3 playing in the Division 5 3rd/4th Playoff
🏆 Team 4 playing in the Division 7 Grand Final
