This is not staged - This is a real group workout at Inverloch Authentic Pilates.

These are well established clients dedicated to the authentic Pilates method, Contrology.

Working to strengthen the whole body in movement. Each client is working connected to springs which gives unique feedback to the core muscles when applying correct technique. It’s intelligent, intentional movement — not just exercise.

Contrology teaches you how to stabilize your body, strengthen it and improve your mobility. The results are far reaching with improved posture and balance, Increased flexibility. Improved spine health. Enhanced pelvic floor tone, the list goes on!

This exercise takes time. As with most exercises of the authentic method of Pilates called Contrology.

You learn how to ground yourself through your feet; foot strength and mobility is essential to standing strong and moving well.

The core muscles support the length of the spine whilst the mobility of the hips increases… it’s a big step up and you need control to step back down…. And keep going!

Like riding a bike, we keep the body moving whilst it stabilises, strengthens and mobilises…. Moving with control improves the bodies function.

Fantastic ex*****on today… it has taken repetition and focus to build this exercise… well done Trevor!

Small Group Workouts are an opportunity to do the exercises your body needs.
Is it pelvic stability you need?
Shoulder stabilization?
Flexibility?
Is it a stronger core to support your spine?
Is it stability on your feet to prevent falls?

“Single Leg Spring Series” on the Cadillac develops your pelvic stability, teaches you how to connect your leg to your core whilst keeping length through your spine. Even though most of your body is stationary it requires all of your body to do this series.

Look at this beautiful round spine shape. This takes deep work in the abdominals, a strong back connection and strength in grounding the pelvis to help lengthen the lower back. It’s not just a forward bend, hinge at hips and stretch.. it’s so much more! When your core muscles work your spine and you grounding and reach simultaneously your whole connects and your spine lengthens and creates flow. Contrology is Authentic Pilates that builds strength, stability and mobility in equal measure and gives you ease of joint movement and grace in your life.

As winter draws energy deep into the roots of the earth, so too is our energy drawn in.
This is a time when we can start to contract in our bodies and feel our aches and pains more.
