Yesterday he played in 4 finals of 2026 Bowls Victoria State Under 18 Championships and WON ALL FOUR!

Congratulations to Harry Coleman of Inverleigh! Harry is the Henselite Victorian Open Men’s Singles Champion which was played yesterday winning 21-16. Our club where Harry first played competition bowls is so proud of him. We also congratulate proud parents Mark and Suzy.
Harry plays pennant at the Deer Park club in Melbourne nowadays.

2025/26 Bowls season is over for our three teams. Unfortunately finals will go ahead without our club participating. Our Division 10 team (pictured) had a nice win in the last round today, the catchup round as a result of the total fire ban back on January 24.
Until next season we wish all other clubs in GBR a happy and successful finals over the next three weeks.
We will be back more determined in season 2026/27 to bring home that winning feeling😁

The winners of the 100UP club competition are now finalized.
In the Mens, Stephen Turnbull defeated Chris Johns in a very close match.
With Marj Peel defeating Anne-Maree Tarbett (yours truly) in the Women’s.
Congratulations to both winners of this enjoyable competition. 🥇🥇
The Pairs and Veterans grand final matches are to be played in the near future.
This weekend is a double header to finish off the 2025/26 season. Unfortunately our teams won’t make the finals this year.
Presentation evening is scheduled for March 21🥇

Mixed results in the first round back after the break. Midweek had a 1 shot win over Torquay👏👏
Section 6 went down to Bell Post Hill today but Section 10 had a win against Bell Post Hill😁👍
The Club Championships were played last night in windy conditions 💨 Marj Peel defeated Penny Turnbull in the Ladies Championship 25/23 in a hard fought match.
Cameron Peel defeated Stephen Turnbull in the Men’s Championship 25/15.
Congratulations to Marj and Cam on being the Club Champions. All the best for the next matches against other club champions in the Geelong Bowls Region.

Round 7 was a mixed bag of results.
Midweek had a good close win. Winning 2 rinks with 58 shots to Geelong RSL 1 rink 55 shots.
Saturday division 6 had an interesting result. They won just the one rink but with 85 shots they managed to win against Geelong RSL 3 rinks 83 shots! Always helps with the extra shots on the board.
Division 10 had an interesting tough game in the wind at Highton. We went down with 0 rinks 24 shots to their 2 rinks and 57 shots.
Let’s hope the weather improves for next rounds games.

Lost to
Highton 2 rinks and 1 drawn, 68 shots.
At least the weather was kinder!🌞

Weekend results:
Division 6
Inverleigh 1 rink, 67 shots
Lost to
Torquay 3 rinks, 83 shots
The sea breeze could of been kinder🌊😙

Division 10
Inverleigh 2 rinks, 42 shots
Defeated
Geelong Cement 0 rinks, 29 shots

It was Eyes Down at the bowls club last night at our first social event of the season.
Lot of fun had by the Bingo players.

The weekly results post. Unfortunately all three teams went down. The weekend results being very close though.
Midweek Division 7:
Inverleigh 0 rinks, 50 shots
Leopold 3 rinks, 75 shots.
They were up against very trying weather conditions. Let’s hope the sun makes an appearance next round.
Sitting 14th on the ladder currently.

Weekend Division 6:
Inverleigh 2 rinks and 1 drawn rink, 72 shots
Belmont 1 rink, 73 shots.
Sooo close!
5th on ladder.

Weekend Division 10:
Inverleigh 1 rink, 37 shots
Geelong RSL 1 rink, 40 shots
8th on ladder.
