1. Follow the Leader (5 mins)
* Everyone lines up behind you.
* Dribble the ball around while they follow.
* Change speed, stop, turn, use different feet.
* Add fun commands:
* “Freeze!”
* “Pirate turn!” (spin around)
* “Giant steps!” (big touches)
* “Mouse touches!” (tiny touches)
2. Sharks and Fish (5 mins)
* All players are “fish” swimming around.
* Coach dribbles the ball and is the shark.
* When the shark gets close, players run away.
* If tagged, they do 3 star jumps and rejoin.
3. Treasure Hunt (5 mins)
* Players spread out.
* Coach dribbles the ball.
* When you stop the ball, everyone races to touch it with their foot.
* Last player there chooses the next movement:
* Hop like a bunny
* Walk like a crab
* Run like a cheetah
4. Goal Scoring Frenzy (5 mins)
* Use trees, bags, parents, or imaginary goals.
* Each child gets a turn dribbling the ball and shooting between the “goal posts.”
* Celebrate every goal with a team cheer.
5. Monster Ball (5 mins)
* Coach is the monster protecting the ball.
* Players try to gently steal or touch the ball.
* If they touch it, they score a point and become the new monster.
6. Red Light, Green Light (5 mins)
* Green light = dribble.
* Yellow light = slow dribble.
* Red light = stop the ball.
* Add:
* Roundabout = spin with the ball.
* Reverse = turn and go back.
Tips for 5-Year-Olds
✅ Keep activities to 3–5 minutes.
✅ Lots of praise.
✅ Avoid long explanations.
✅ Use imagination (pirates, dinosaurs, superheroes, animals).
✅ Every child should get plenty of turns with the ball.
