Australian Kart Championship - Townsville 🏡🌴
Round 3 of the Australian Kart championship was held here in Townsville, and what an eye opener it was. I hadnt set foot on the Townsville track in over 9 months since my injury and to have so much grip on the track was awesome, even better to race some of the best drivers in the country in a capacity field!
We showed pace all weekend, a few small driver errors on my part cost me track position. However, we are proud of the results, even better being the highest placed local in the field without having any track time 💪
Saturday
Qualified 15th out of 39 karts.
Heat 1 finished 16th
Heat 2 finished 12th
Sunday
Heat 3 started 15th finished 14th
Heat 4 started 15th finished 19th
Final started 14th finished 12th.
Was sitting in the top 10 through most of the final, but it was still a great result to come out 12th!
