To the Innisfail community,
Thankyou for all your support over the last 18 months. Grimsey’s Aquatics have made the difficult decision to invite a North Queensland operator to take over the management of the facility.
We have experienced considerable challenges trying to acquire staff and feel that in order to continue to provide the community with the necessary services that this is the best pathway forward for all.
We look forward to seeing the wonderful programs Marlin Coast have to offer. We will work with them to ensure a smooth transition over the Christmas break.
Innisfail Aquatic Centre Management Changover in January
The Innisfail Aquatic Centre (Memorial Baths) will transition to new management on 8 January 2025, with Marlin Coast Swimming and Fitness taking over operations.
🏊 To allow for a smooth changeover, the pool will be closed from 8 to 10 January 2025 to allow for staff training and inductions, as well as pool maintenance. The pool will reopen Saturday 11 January 2025.
Marlin Coast Swimming and Fitness bring extensive experience, currently managing seven pools across Far North Queensland – from Dimbulah to Babinda.
⏰ Temporary Operating Hours (16 December 2024 – 31 May 2025):
Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Tuesday: 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 5:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🙏Council would like to extend our gratitude to Grimsey’s Aquatics for their dedicated management of Innisfail Swimming Pool. Grimsey’s will continue their management of the Mission Beach and Tully Aquatic Centre.
