Rising Star FC

Rising Star FC Rising Star FC, an Amateur football team established in 2020. A team that many overlooked initially, became a team that attracted the eyes of many.

Rising Star FC, an Amateur football team, established in 2020 by a group of Bhutanese football enthusiasts in Perth, first participated in the Bhutanese Champions League organised by Ka-Thrab United. After being drafted in the Group of Death, we crashed out of our group in 3rd position behind two teams who both progressed all the way to the semi-final. In our second tournament, the 2021 ABPI Rolli

ng Trophy organized by Thimphu City FC and the Association of Bhutanese in Perth Inc. [ABPI], we lost at the very last kick of the match against the eventual champions, Thimphu City FC (3-4 to TCP). Note to all:

It’s a Draw at Ashfield.

Tenzin Yoedsel Tshering breaks the deadlock with a beautiful strike from the edge of the box and to give us the lead but not long after second half, Ka-Thrab puts one back in even the scoreline.

Ugyen Thegchok Dorji saving the team from a defeat with multiple crucial saves against the very aggressive and quick counter attack. Easily the player of the match.

Though it’s not the result we look forward to, we will take this draw as a step ahead to get better.

It’s a second in a row.

After an early first half lead via spot kick by Tenzin Yoedsel Tshering. Jackaroos FC came back quick after start of second half with back to back goals to take the lead. Lots of chances missed to even the scoreline.
