This drought is very testing...in more ways than anyone can imagine
* depression
* anxiety
* anger
* frustration
* sadness
* drinking
* crying in the shower
* accepting help
Today I had was feeding up with a friend of mine and among the pushing, grunting, mooing and bleeting this poor lamb got stood on and her leg broken.
I didn't see it happen I only saw her sitting on the ground underneath the Wagyu Bull which I thought was a bit strange. I walked over and she stood up (a moment of yay she was....Oh f**k me really)
I sent Jess to the shearing shed to get the masking tape. I picked the lamb up and carried her down to the house. I won't lie I felt everyone of those emotions listed above in that short
100mtr walk.
Jess and I worked on strapping her leg with news paper and masking tape...but of course it's been years since I've had to use the masking tape so kept breaking ... lucky Jess brought down the duct tape!
Her leg is now secure, pain killers given and she is resting up.
