We can’t wait to celebrate another incredible season with our Herbert River Athletics Club family.

Registrations are now open for the Advanced Recreational Running Coach (Level 2) course, running 23 September – 7 October in an online format.

This Nationally Recognised Accreditation is designed for coaches leading running clubs or private coaches working with runners aiming to achieve higher levels of performance at endurance events.

Throughout the course, you'll develop the skills and knowledge to coach intermediate and advanced runners, with topics including:
✅ Running technique development
✅ Periodisation
✅ Plyometrics
✅ Functional movement training
✅ Energy availability

During the upcoming North Queensland Championships, ANQ will be offering opportunities to new and upcoming officials and volunteers, who may be interested in learning practical skills for helping at athletics competitions.

This is a great opportunity to develop your officiating know-how in all event groups and work with some of the most knowledgeable officials in Australian athletics, right here in North Queensland.

For our club equipment officers, we are offering an exciting opportunity for club Equipment Managers and volunteers to upskill their knowledge in organising, preparing for and managing athletics competitions more effectively. This could be for a regular club day competition or a higher-level competition.
