SWR Spotlight 🌟

Meet Stacey! Earlier this year Stace started a SWR running program, with a goal to run the CBR Marathon Fest 10km, then only a few weeks later a further goal to beat her time at the Mothers Day Classic 10km! Both goals achieved! 😍
We know as runners, once we reach one goal we shift to the next 😬 So, a half marathon it was! Stacey trained consistently, gradually building kms up each week and was ready for the Sydney Blackmores half! Thanks to lockdown, that half was then moved to CBR Times Fun Run - which was also cancelled ! πŸ₯²
That wasn’t going to stop her though! The goal of a half marathon in 2021 was going to be reached. Thankfully, the borders opened and Stace was able to run her first ever half marathon at the Husky Running Fest. πŸ‘πŸ½

She Who Runner spotlight 🌟
Kaitlin recently ran her first ever 10km a few weeks ago at the Brisbane Marathon festival!
After adopting a training plan with our run leader Kate, we slowly increased her kms each week to get ready for race day! The outcome - absolutely loved it and now wants to do a half marathon! 😍 The running bug is addictive!! Go Kaitlin! ✨
This is what running is all about - helping people believe that they can and building confidence through the journey of it ✨

Attention Canberra runners, walkers and supporters!

The Indigenous Marathon Foundation is hosting a Reconciliation Run tomorrow (Wednesday, 2 June) at 7:30am outside the front Parliament House. We will be starting on the red gravel.

Lace up your kicks and join us for a 4km run or walk.
