Something big is rocking the Royal this October! 🎉🎉

Rock for the Royal is a month-long celebration of rockin’ events and fundraising for the Royal Hobart Hospital - and there’s plenty of ways to get involved.

From rockabilly dancing and live music to rock n’ roll bowls, air guitar, Rock Your Socks Off Day, and plenty of rockin’ fundraising of your own, there’s something for everyone.

And the best part? Every dollar raised stays right here in Tasmania, helping support the Royal Hobart Hospital with the equipment, technology, healthcare initiatives and medical research that help make a better future possible for patients, families and our community.

Want to join in? You can take part in one of our events, get your workplace, school or mates involved, or create your own fundraiser this October.

A morning tea. A quiz night. A BBQ. A dress-up day. A workplace challenge. Whatever gets your people together and gets you rocking.

📣 FINAL REMINDER — THIS SATURDAY!

Our green officially opens for the new season this Saturday, 26 September, at 11am — and we’d love to see as many members as possible there!

📸 We’ll be taking a special group photo to mark the occasion, so please come along, wear your club colours if you can, and help us fill the green with the faces that make our club so special.

Following the official opening, there’ll be a short game of bowls (weather permitting), a BBQ lunch, the AFL Grand Final on the big screen and the bar open.

Let’s get a fantastic turnout and start the season together!

Congratulations Adrian, Keith, Neville and John (Cygnet) taking out 3rd place in the Dover Winter Carnival yesterday. They actually finished top of the ladder after the round of four matches but unfortunately lost first top four playoff final but then went on to win the 3rd/4th place playoff. Todd, Donna, Geoff & Barney also represented Huonville on the day - not quite their day, but a valuable pre-season hit out nonetheless and good practice playing in tough windy conditions!
Thank you to Dover RSL Bowls and Badger (Jarrah) for putting on a great day as always. Plenty of fun, great food and good bowling. See you again next year.
