HUON VALLEY COUNCIL COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

On Saturday, the Huonville Bulls Cricket Club were very lucky to have two of their own who were nominated and won awards at the Huon Valley Council’s Community Achievement Awards ceremony.

Logan Bligh, won a Volunteer Service Award, and the inaugural Young Volunteer of the Year Award for his long-serving role as President of the Huonville Bulls Cricket Club and helping grow cricket in the local community.

Heidi White, was the winner and recipient of the Young Achievement Award, for her countless hours of volunteering at various sporting clubs around the Huon Valley, her work at the Huon Valley PCYC, the passion and love she has for mental health and playing a major role in the Hilltop Hike.

Both individuals have the community at heart, and both deserving of recognition.

A successful night at the Huon Channel Cricket Association Awards last night for our inaugural Women’s team.

Juarne Lovell was awarded the Association Wicketkeeping award for most dismissals with 9!

Virginia Grimsey was named in the Women’s Team of the Year for 2025/26.

And Nicole Vincent was a big winner in the raffle, taking home a $700 cricket bat for her to use in the top order next season!

Now, to our dinner tonight, set up to be a great night, don’t miss out!

WOMEN’S INDOOR CRICKET

An early pre-season start for our Women’s team as they played their first game of indoor cricket tonight at The Cricket Hub Tasmania!

The girls played a ripper of a game, just falling 10 runs short of the total, but winning two skins on the night.

Kirsty Barnes and Virginia Grimsey were our two highest run scorers with 27 each…
