🏹 Our New Youth Training Program Is Underway!
What a fantastic start to our new Gosnells Archers Youth Training Program!

We have 16 youth archers taking part in the program. While it was originally designed as a 12-week program, we have decided to extend it across 24 weeks, spending two Tuesday training sessions on each section.

This gives our youth plenty of time to properly learn, practise and understand each new skill before moving on.
This week was our first session, led by our Youth Club Leaders Aaliya & Logan, and it was absolutely fantastic to watch. πŸ‘

All of the youth got involved, asked questions and really embraced what they were learning. Having a specific training focus each week means our Tuesday sessions are about developing skills, technique and knowledge β€” rather than simply flinging arrows at targets! 🎯

A huge part of this program is also developing our young archers into confident, knowledgeable athletes who understand why they are doing something, not just how to do it.

Many of this group are also really looking forward to the upcoming George Ryals IV Seminar thanks to Urban Archery for making this happen, where they’ll have another amazing opportunity to soak up as much information as possible and bring it back into their training.
A brilliant first week β€” 23 more to go! πŸ’ͺ🏹
Well done to Aaliya, Logan for leading the first warmup session and all 16 of our youth archers for really getting involved. We can't wait to see how much everyone develops over the next six months!

πŸΉπŸ’™ WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY AT GOSNELLS ARCHERS! πŸ’™πŸΉ

Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming 60 wonderful women from the Daughters of Hawa to Gosnells Archers for two Come & Try Archery sessions β€” and what an amazing day it was!

There were plenty of laughs, lots of encouragement, some great shooting and maybe even a few new archery addictions started! πŸŽ―πŸ˜‚πŸΉ

It was fantastic to see everyone giving archery a go, supporting each other and embracing the challenge. The atmosphere across both sessions was just brilliant.

We also had the honour of teaching one of Western Australia’s State Senator Fatima Payman who joined us as part of the group and stepped up to the shooting line to experience archery alongside everyone else. What a privilege to be able to share our sport with her! 🏹

But today was about even more than having fun.

The two sessions also officially kicked off our fundraising efforts to help our Gosnells youth archers get to the 2027 Youth National Championships β€” and thanks to today’s event, we have started that journey with an incredible $2,100 raised! πŸŽ‰πŸ’°

A massive THANK YOU to the Daughters of Hawa and URBAN pop-up and every one of the 60 women who joined us today. Thank you for bringing such fantastic energy, enthusiasm and positivity to our club.

And a huge thank you to all of our Gosnells Archers volunteers who gave their time to coach, assist and make sure both sessions ran smoothly. Days like today simply don’t happen without people willing to get involved and help. πŸ’™

We absolutely loved having you all at our club and hope this isn’t the last time we see you on the shooting line!

What an incredible day and an amazing start to our youth fundraising journey!
