Saihaan still seeing them well in Winter comp. 63 from 30, great batting

Round 7 update:

An important win on Sunday again the boys executed the plan well, against a strong team of Boundry blasters securing us 3rd spot on the ladder leading into semifinals.

Man of the match for this game was awarded to Saihaan who gave us a perfect start putting the opposition team under pressure scoring with 200% strike rate 63(30) and supported well by Ivansh and Hadi.

The bowlers did their job and didn’t not let the top order settle with Idrees and Vishwajit leading the charge this time and the spinners doing what they needed to do to finish the game off. Well done. Off to semis now.

Congratulations to our club captain Ricky Shardul on taking out the FLCC Green Shield Player of the Year. Ricky is a tremendous ambassador for the TIgers since he joined us as a 10yo and we are very proud of him.

Our 14s Keeper Virath Prathipati was rewarded for his great season behind the stumps by taking out the FLCA under 14-16 wicket keeper of the year at this weeks award night.

At the recent FLCA Awards Tanmay Sharma took out the under 13 batting award, the overall under 12/13 batting award, most catches under 13 and overall most catches under 12/13 catching award tied with our own Chantelle Ranjan. This all culminated in Tanmay winning champion under 12/13 FLCA player of the year the David Millott OAM Award and Dave was on hand to present this award.

With all the fine performances this season from our juniors who were awarded, let’s not forget the many fine performances of players who just missed awards. Vishwajit Tambe scored a magnificent 600+ runs this season playing in under 13 as a 12 yo and included a magnificent 8 half centuries.
