⭐COMMITTEE SPOTLIGHT⭐
You would have seen the lovely Bec in our Canteen, making sure everyone's tummy's are full with Robins hot chips and sausage sizzles.
How long have you been on the committee?
3yrs
How did you end up being on the Robins committee?
I wanted to give back to a club that provides so much for its players and families. It’s a great opportunity to support the growth of the club, help create a positive environment, and contribute to the success of the teams both on and off the field.
What's your role and what does it involve? What happens behind the scenes?
As a general committee member, my role is to support the committee in making decisions, assist with club activities and events, contribute ideas, and help ensure the club runs smoothly for the benefit of all players, families, and volunteers.
Why did you want this role when joining the committee? Did you have an previous experience?
I enjoy giving back to community sport and have previously served on committees for a couple of different sporting clubs. I hope to use that experience to support the club, contribute to its ongoing success, and help create a positive experience for players, families, and volunteers.
What do you enjoy about being on the committee?
I enjoy being part of the committee because it allows me to contribute behind the scenes, support the club’s growth, and help create opportunities for players and families to enjoy the game.
What's something about the committee that you think people don't know?
One thing people often don’t realise is just how much work happens behind the scenes. Sporting committees do far more than attend meetings. They manage finances, coordinate volunteers, organise registrations, deal with compliance and insurance requirements, apply for grants, plan events, and solve countless small issues that keep the club running smoothly.
What's one of your most memorable moments?
Watching the 2025 season wrap up and seeing how much the club has grown and Improved because of the collective soccer families and committee efforts.
