🔸 There is so much more to a horse than you could ever imagine 🔸
There is so much more to horses than riding...
They are your confidant..
Your mentor...
Your strength and your rock.
They reflect back to you exactly who you are as a person and you sometimes may not like what you see...
They will show you your strengths...
Your weaknesses and how your presence makes others feel..
They will teach you to stop and live in the moment..
To hear the birds...
To feel the breeze on your face..
To follow your gut..
They will sense your sadness and acknowledge it in ways you never thought possible..
They will show you exactly what they think of someone....
Engage with them...theyre ok.
Walk as far away as they can from them...be aware..
They will teach you life skills in a way that can never be taught in a class room...
How life isnt always easy....how not everyone will always get on...
How the size of your herd means nothing but the connection between yourself and another living soul means everything...
How life will not always pan out the way you intended and thats ok...just keep trying those doors until the right one opens..
Never give up...
They will teach you that money, whilst it is a necessity..the amount you have in the bank does not make you any better than the person just trying to survive day to day...
The goodness of your soul is the measure of your wealth.
Horses will teach you to find your currency and never settle for less.
Whilst horses teach us some of the greatest life lessons, they will also teach us one of the hardest...
It is at that moment that you will pull together everything they have shown you and be there for them..
You will hold their head proudly whilst holding back your tears...
You will thank them for loving you...
For teaching you...
For choosing you as their human..
You will kiss their forehead gently as they close their eyes for the very last time..
You will mourn...
They will teach you heartbreak on a level that you feel its impossible to recover from...
But you will... because they taught you strength....
Then one day...whether it be 2 weeks...6 months...or even years....itll happen..
You will feel the warm breath on the back of your hand...
You will see a soul in the depth of another soft eye...
Its at that exact moment you just know... your heart is ready to love again...
The next chapter has begun...
