Pickleball in Horsham Update

To keep everyone updated, a small but highly energised group has come together to form a committee and get Pickleball back up and running in Horsham.

Rex Mathison, Jacquie Warrick, Vedang Ovalekar, Robin Rogers, Tony Caccaviello, Tim Blair and Sue Exell have all put their hand up to help get the off-court side of Pickleball Horsham back up and running.

The committee is currently looking into indoor venue pricing and availability and hopes to share more information shortly. At this stage, the aim is to recommence social indoor pickleball from the week beginning 20 April 2026, with the exact date and venue to be confirmed depending on court availability. Proposed session time will be 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

More details will be shared as they are finalised, but in the meantime:

1. Reach out to one of the committee members or comment below if you would like to help and be involved in some of the off-court tasks needed to get Pickleball up and running.
2. If you are looking for a pickleball fix in the meantime, sessions running when school returns on Wednesday mornings at 9.30am at Haven Recreation Reserve. If you would like to be involved, comment below and we can point you in the right direction.

Thanks to Central Park Tennis Club, to host weekly sessions every Friday from 7 PM – 8:30 PM, starting this Friday and running until 12 December.
$5 per person

Come along, enjoy the fresh air, and show your support for outdoor Pickleball!

Whether you’re a regular or trying it for the first time, it’s a great way to stay active, social, and have some fun.

Pickleball Australia is seeking passionate volunteers to join our Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG) — a national volunteer committee that provides advice and guidance to help ensure pickleball is a sport for all Australians.

The IAG will play an important role in shaping inclusive opportunities across all areas of the game, including:

- Para and Wheelchair Pickleball
- People with Intellectual Disabilities
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing Communities
- LGBTIQ+ Inclusion
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and Marginalised Communities

We’re looking for individuals who bring lived experience, community insight, or professional expertise in inclusion, accessibility, or diversity. Members will act as advocates and advisors, helping Pickleball Australia identify barriers, propose solutions, and support the growth of welcoming, accessible programs and events nationwide.
