When I first met Daniel he stroke me as a smart young man, careful of his actions, thoughtful and eager to achieve what success is for him.

After a few months we had a few business oriented meetings and there’s a principle we both feel connected to which is “you have to become the environment you want to create”.

For both of us that are leading people in business, work, family, kids, etc, we must lead by example and that’s exactly what Daniel is doing now in the health and fitness aspect (among other areas of his life).

Congratulations Daniel on your achievements, you’ve made yourself and myself proud of your achievements so far and now that you’re on a muscle/strength program, you’re continuing to excel! Keep doing what you’re doing, keep leading by example! 👊🏽

Slowly but surely! My runs have been getting faster however that hasn’t been the focus of my training. The sweet spot / el punto ideal (🇦🇺 & 🇻🇪)

🇦🇺 it is very common for people that enjoy training to unknowingly overtrain in search of getting fitter/stronger. There are many ways out there to help people avoid overtraining but one of those I’ve started to use myself and is to find your personal “Sweetspot” be it in heart rate or in watts if you’re a cyclist. In theory, this is a level of intensity that’s is high enough to let you push yourself but not too high so you don’t build too much stress needing days to properly recover.

🇻🇪 Es muy común que las personas que disfrutan del entrenamiento se sobre entrenen sin saberlo en busca de ser más aptos/fuerte. Hay muchas maneras de ayudar a la gente a evitar el exceso de entrenamiento, pero una de las que he empezado a usar es encontrar tu “Sweetspot” personal, ya sea en el ritmo cardiaco o en vatios si eres ciclista. En teoría, este es un nivel de intensidad lo suficientemente alto como para que te esfuerces a un buen nivel, pero no demasiado alto para que no acumules demasiado estrés necesitando días para recuperarte adecuadamente.

Recovery is for everyday / La recuperación es para todos los días (English & Español)

🇦🇺 Beginners, amateurs and professional athletes tend to focus in how to train and eat for better performance or better looks or both often missing the recovery component. The reality is tha through training and daily life we accumulate stress in our body and if we don’t allow our body’s to recover properly, instead of improving we’re just gonna go backwards. Recovery should be looked after in a few different ways so follow your coach’s programming and progressions, meditate, eat antioxidant and anti-inflammatory foods, sleep 7-9hrs, stretch after training, have a day off and you’ll see less injuries, constant progress, less sick days, etc

🇻🇪 Los principiantes, aficionados y atletas profesionales tienden a centrarse en cómo entrenar y comer para un mejor rendimiento o un mejor aspecto físico o ambos, a menudo olvidando el componente de recuperación. La realidad es que a través del entrenamiento y la vida diaria acumulamos estrés en nuestro cuerpo y si no permitimos que nuestro cuerpo se recupere adecuadamente, en lugar de mejorar, vamos a retroceder. La recuperación debe ser vigilada de varias maneras, así que siga la programación y progresiones de su entrenador, meditar, comer alimentos antioxidantes y anti-inflamatorios, dormir 7-9 horas, estirarse después del entrenamiento, tener un día libre y verá menos lesiones, progreso constante, menos días de enfermedad, etc.
