I honestly can’t recommend Iron Retreat enough.

Matt is very much a no-nonsense, get s**t done kind of coach — but he also knows how to make training enjoyable and keeps you laughing along the way. What I appreciate most is that he genuinely pays attention. If he sees you struggling, whether physically or emotionally, he’ll support you to work through it rather than just pushing you through another session.

What really sets him apart is the depth of knowledge he brings into every session. You can tell he has invested heavily into understanding training, movement, recovery, mindset, healing and how to actually help people achieve long-term results rather than quick fixes. He explains the “why” behind what you’re doing, adapts training to your individual needs, and genuinely wants you to improve in a sustainable way.

Since training with him, I’ve not only become stronger physically, but I’ve also grown in confidence, mindset, and consistency. He has become such a strong pillar of support in helping me work towards my goals, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything he’s done to help me become a better version of myself.

Did you know there’s a powerful fascial connection that starts right in the webbing between your thumb and index finger?

This area links into what’s known as the Deep Front Arm Line, a myofascial chain that travels up the forearm, into the biceps, chest, neck, and even influences the first rib.

That’s why releasing this small point in the hand, combined with soft-tissue work around the first rib, can create an immediate shift in shoulder mobility and tension release.

The before-and-after in this photo is from a client who came in with movement restriction before their healing session. A few minutes working through this fascial line opened their overhead range dramatically, restoring ease, freedom, and relaxation through the whole upper body.

Sometimes the biggest changes start with the smallest points.

Training for the Mind as Much as the Body 🧠🧘🏼‍♀️

Today we were reminded just how powerful movement can be for mental health. A client arrived feeling weighed down by a challenging past few days —uncertain, flat, a hint of anger, and unsure if they were in the right headspace to train.

We took it slow. Focused on steady, purposeful movement. No pressure. Just turning up, talking it out when needed, and working through the session one step at a time.

By halfway through, the shift was clear: “I feel so much better already,” they said.

Sometimes it’s not about the intensity of the session—it’s about showing up for yourself, even when it’s hard. And it’s amazing how training can help reset the mind, ease tension, and lift the mood.

Trauma can weigh us down, but healing can set us free.

After a near-drowning experience while snorkeling, my daughter Belle, was overwhelmed with fear, unable to face water or even drink it without panic. Watching her go through this was heartbreaking. She reached out to me for a healing session and what happened next was nothing short of life-changing.

Here’s her story of courage, transformation and finding peace again.

“Before my healing session with Matt, I was overwhelmed with fear and exhaustion. I had just experienced a near-drowning incident while snorkeling off a boat at the Great Barrier Reef. One moment, I was swimming with the fish, exploring the coral and the next, I woke up on the boat’s deck, disoriented and scared. Someone had seen me, brought me back to the boat and resuscitated me. I was airlifted to the hospital and that’s when the emotional toll really hit me.

I felt drained, terrified of water and I couldn’t even drink a glass of water without feeling fear. The thought of going near water again made me restless and uneasy. I couldn’t sleep properly and I just wanted to stay in bed, hiding from the world.

The next morning, I FaceTimed Matt for a distance healing session, hoping for some relief. Matt performed a session using the Belief Code and I could feel each negative statement and energetic imbalance being released, one after another. With every release, I felt lighter, as if a weight was lifting off my chest. By the end, I felt calmer, happier and more grounded, like I was being reborn into a fearless, capable version of myself.

That same day, I drank water without fear. And the very next day, I swam in a pool without hesitation, something I couldn’t have imagined just 24 hours before.

Looking back, I now see my near-drowning not as a terrifying battle, but as a turning point. Matt’s healing session helped me transform my fear and trauma into gratitude. I no longer feel haunted by the experience, instead, I feel stronger and more at peace.

Thank you, Matt. I am forever grateful for the healing that took place. It truly changed my life.”
