Another quick trip down the road in the AM for our Thunder faithful, this week to meet our Henty Highway neighbours, Warrack Eagles.

The Eagles are hosting us for the second WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country Club Series match of 2026. Delivered in partnership with WorkSafe Victoria, the Country Club Series is focused on supporting regional communities - particularly in agricultural areas where the risk of workplace injury is higher - by building local connections and sharing practical safety messages.

We're stoked to see a dash of the violet crumbles heritage creeping back into our senior side, with Lou & Jacko pulling on the teal strip for the first time in 2026, while Aiden Credlin has also returned home and will play his first senior Thunder match. Welcome back boys!

Next week is the King's Long Weekend Bye, the following week we host the Demons in Rainbow, before our club bye, and then we roll into a huge block of games for the run home. Amongst all of that is our Black Tie Ball on the 27th June in Hopetoun, while the Goods & Services Auction will kick off in early July.

Join us at the Southern Mallee Thunder Annual Black Tie Ball on Saturday, June 27th in Hopetoun.

With pre-show entertainment from former Melbourne AFL player Russell Robertson, and live music from Red Line, it’s shaping up to be a cracker of a night.

Tickets are just $50, and remember, this is an 18+ event. Bring your own nibbles to share, but drinks will be available at bar prices - no BYO drinks allowed.

We’re running online again, with the final night in our Beulah clubrooms after our next clash against the Roos. We welcome the Rats to the wild wild (north) west this week, our first game in Beulah for 2026.

We've had a good run of clashes the past few weeks, all grades are primed and ready to go for another fierce contest. Go get 'em Thunder!

After the day's play, stick around for Mr Thunder & Mrs Mallee. There's plenty of surprises in store, and we've been told that your loose change is required, so raid those money boxes.
