2026/27 SPP INDUCTION CAMP | PHYSICAL TESTING

As part of the 2026/27 State Performance Program (SPP) Induction Camp, athletes participated in a range of physical testing sessions designed to assess their current physical capabilities and identify areas for development.

Physical testing plays an important role in the SPP, providing valuable insights into each athlete’s strength, speed, agility and overall physical performance.

These results help coaches monitor progress, tailor training programs and support athletes throughout their development journey.

SPP 2027 KICKS OFF WITH INDUCTION CAMP

Basketball NSW officially launched its 2026/27 State Performance Program (SPP) with a successful three-day induction camp at Hills Basketball Stadium from 9th–11th of October.

More than 215 athletes and 30 coaches came together for a weekend of on-court training, physical testing and educational workshops, preparing for the season ahead.

It was also fantastic to have our SPP wheelchair squad involved once again, training and developing alongside their peers.

A big thank you to Hoops Sports Performance, Momentum Physiotherapy & Health Services, Michael Czepil, Australian Gliders Hannah Dodd and Georgia Munro-Cook for sharing their expertise throughout the camp. We also thank Hills Basketball Association, our volunteer coaches, and Camp Manager Emily Brokmann and her team for their support across the weekend.

With weekly training now underway across Country and Metro NSW, we look forward to another exciting year of athlete and coach development through the SPP.
