The 20th Holbrook Easter Fly-in on Saturday and Sunday 19th and 20th April 2025 was a great success and a fantastic gathering of recreational aviators. It was great to see recreational pilots of aircraft ranging from the humble Wheeler Scout, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, to the Cirrus SR22 - and lots in between - coming together to share their passion for aviation.

The Saturday afternoon forums kicked off with OzRunways’ Josh Larven, who provided a comprehensive overview of its EFB features and advantages and provided a range of tips to get the most out of it. Cody Calder, RA-Aus Chief of Aviation, outlined important changes and information affecting RA-Aus members and Jill Wheeler provided an interesting and detailed historic account of the Wheeler Scout in celebration of it’s 50th anniversary.

A highlight of the event was the Saturday night Fly-in dinner, which was well attended and featured Cinematographer Steve Moxey, as the after-dinner speaker.

A bit thank you to all those who attended and to all the members of Holbrook Ultralight Club who worked hard to make it all happen.

WUFI day one action at Holbrook- YHBK

Only one week to go until WUFI 2024 – Saturday and Sunday 12 & 13 October. This will be the 10th WUFI.

Holbrook Ultralight Club will be hosting a WUFI event at Holbrook Airfield – YHBK – and invites you to attend.
WUFI 2024 is setting up a certification group to make it easy to get your participation certificate.

HULC invites you to fly, trailer or otherwise manage to get you and your ultralight aircraft to Holbrook airfield for this once a year global event and join the fun.

The World Ultralight Fly In (WUFI) will again be held in 2024
And Holbrook Ultralight Club invites you to participate in the WUFI 2024
When: 12th and 13th October 2024
Where: Holbrook Airfield YHBK
The WUFI is a global flying event where recreational pilots of small aircraft across the world all fly as one on the same two days. Because ultralight aircraft cannot easily gather in large numbers at regular airshows (especially those in other, far-off countries), WUFI was created.
The first WUFI worldwide fly-in was held in 2015 with aeronauts from over 44 countries participating with more than 1,200 earning their 2015 WUFI certificate. WUFI has been held every year since.
We encourage you to fly, trailer or otherwise manage to get you and your ultralight aircraft to Holbrook airfield for this once a year global event.
