Bushinden Tasmania Toku Bu Ryū Sui Budō Dōjō 武神傳徳武流水武道道場 The Bushinden Dōjō is a Japanese Jūjutsu and Bukijutsu (weapons) School teaching Traditional Martial Arts.

The Bushinden Tasmania Butoku Ryu Sui Budo Dojo instructs Traditional Japanese Jujutsu, Bukijutsu ( Weaponry ) and Ninjutsu. Bujinkan ( Hall of the Divinely Inspired Warrior ) is the name given to the Dojo of Masaaki Hatsumi in memory and respect of his teacher, Tosh*tsugu Takamatsu. Bujinkan Tasmania is located in the Hobart Central Business District and classes are available daily for adults and

children. Training is non-competitive and comprises a rich depth of practice and study in all aspects of the Classical Japanese Martial Arts for personal development, fitness, self protection, and cultural interest. The head instructor has been studying martial arts for over 36 years, has lived and trained in Japan for 10 years ( returning every year since ), and taught seminars in over 20 countries. This is the only authentic classical martial arts dojo in Hobart with an instructor of this experience and depth of skills taught.

People who do not grasp the true nature of a martial artist may well go to some trouble to knock on my door and request training, but unless they search for the heart of a martial artist, my teachings will fall on deaf ears. These Nio Guardians 仁王ーBenevolent Kings protect the Dōjō and those that enter.

Nio guardian statues are found at Buddhist temples throughout Japan and they guard and protect the temple from evil spirits, demons as well as human robbers. Nio always come in pairs, and, like the komainu ( guardian lion/dogs ) pone will have an open mouth, the other closed. The open-mouthed one is making the "a" sound and is known as "agyo" and the closed-mouth is making the "n" sound and is called "ungyo". These are the first and last syllables in Japanese and symbolize beginning and end, birth and death.
