Video pointe fittings are something new for us at Dance Junction!

We met from several weeks ago for a pointe shoe fitting. She travelled over 3 hours to see us and unfortunately we didn't have the right shoes for her slightly tricky feet.

Over the next few weeks did three follow up fittings with Kiana via Zoom at her studio with her ballet teacher present.

We posted her the pointe shoes to try and then she sent the unwanted shoes back in the return satchels we provided.

Today was incredibly satisfying as we finally found a shoe that ticks all her boxes! While not conventional, sometimes we need to think outside the box to get a good result for our dancers.

It's been a very busy Saturday morning at Dance Junction but we still managed to fit in an initial pointe shoe fitting for Seraphina from 🩰

Seraphina only got the green light to go en pointe this morning and it was soooooo exciting to see the look on her face the first time she stepped up onto the platform.

Sometimes finding the right pointe shoes is like when Harry Potter bought his first magic wand. We try pair after pair that are close but not quite right...

There's nothing like the moment where a dancer stands up in a pair of shoes and knows instantly that they are the ones.

This is exactly what happened today with _winnie.nettlefold_ from

It was hard work to convince her to try anything else after putting on the Bloch Eurostretch!

We had so much fun fitting from for pointe shoes in store today!

Sienna has been wearing Bloch Heritage for several years but was willing to explore some different shoes to see if it was time for a change.

Sienna was lucky enough to have five different pairs to choose between and it ended up coming down to Whisper Mirella and Bella. These shoes have some similarities in the box but are markedly different around the wings and heel.

We love that have been doing "pointe shoe audits" with their dancers recently - checking in to see if they are happy with their current pointe shoes or if it's time to come in and be refitted.

Audrey came in to see if there were any better options after wearing the same shoe for some time. She liked quite a few shoes and we ended up narrowing it down to the Emilia and the Etu.

Emilia eventually won out with its advantage of being able to get a harder shank in the same shoe being a big advantage.
