Pre-Season has well and truly started 🙌

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, ajaaa, ajaaa, ajaaa…
… and just like that, the season ends — not with a whisper, but a full-blown cheer! 🎤

We stayed for the chaos, the curry, and the comedy — especially those cheeky comparisons between our women’s team (yes, the three-time champs 👑) and the men’s crew.
No pressure. Just joy.

Still smiling from the sidelines of a night that had it all.
The venue? Small.
The heart? Massive.

Our MC was on fire — tossing sledges like a T20 pro. No script. No filter. Just family-friendly roasts and surprise jabs that had everyone ducking and laughing.

It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t spread out.
It was loud, messy, tight-knit — and totally perfect. Like one big multicultural family reunion powered by cricket, curry, and chaos.

Three-Time Champions – Summerleas Eagles Women’s Cricket Team

What began as just an idea turned into something extraordinary.

From a few curious chats to forming a team of players—some who had never picked up a bat but were eager to learn—we’ve built more than just a cricket team. We’ve built friendships, found purpose, and created a space where women from all walks of life feel valued and supported.

We’ve just won our third championship, and the journey has been nothing short of inspiring.

Most of our players are working mums, juggling young kids, careers, and commitments—but they show up. They bring their whole hearts to the game.

With the incredible support of HCCA, we’ve grown. Now, we’re ready for the next step: playing community level cricket with healthy competition, building on our strengths and passion.

We’re looking for new players—experienced or brand new to the game.

If you’re ready to learn, grow, and be part of something special, we’d love to have you. It’s one step at a time—but every step forward counts.

Perfect gift for International Women's Day 2025!

Womens Cricket is more than just runs on a scoreboard.

Under the scorching sun, with helmets on and sweat dripping, the focus never wavered. Every single, boundary, and even the wides added to the journey—learning from mistakes, supporting one another, and growing stronger as a team with each game.

I had the privilege of witnessing it all.

Then came the moment—the Slab Road coach, smiling, shaking his head, and saying, "Ah, we are fed up… gosh, three times in a row!" Passion evolved into dedication. Hard work turned into triumph. A quiet yet overwhelming sense of pride and joy filled the air.

But beyond the game, there’s a deeper story—one of resilience, balance, and the unwavering spirit of women in sport. Moms tending to their babies between breaks, putting them to sleep before stepping back onto the field. Hubbies cheering, families beaming with pride, and kids running around, soaking in the excitement.

This wasn’t just a match; it was a celebration of commitment, camaraderie, and the sheer love of the game.

Well done team and the members who support such initiatives! We’ve been there, lived it all, and brought an infectious energy that keeps the team alive and thriving!
