Triathlon South End of Season Celebration 2025/26
What a fantastic way to wrap up the 2025/26 season.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our End of Season Celebration at the Shipwrights Arms Hotel, and to all our members, families, supporters, sponsors, volunteers and committee members who helped make the season such a success.
Across the year we raced at multiple locations, hosted duathlons at the DEC, aquathlons at Bellerive and Kingston Beach, and three triathlons at Seven Mile, including our new long-course event. There were close races, big efforts, a few laughs, plenty of great moments, and a lot of people working behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Season Summary and Club Milestones
The 2025/26 season was another big year for Triathlon South, with plenty to celebrate across membership, racing and club history.
This season the club had 113 members, with 19 new members joining across the year.
A special congratulations to two members who reached their 10-year membership milestone:

Across the season, 181 individuals raced, with 67 first-time racers taking part at the club. We also had 13 teams race during the season, contributing to a total of 588 teams in club history.
The club has now recorded 4,180 solo participants across its history, which is a fantastic reflection of the strength and longevity of Triathlon South.

We also celebrated some major race milestones:
50-race milestone
Rosie Nash became the 20th person in club history to reach 50 races, achieving the milestone on 27 December 2025.
100-race milestone
Mark Blake became the 3rd person in club history to reach 100 races, achieving the milestone on 6 March 2026.
And finally, a very special club history moment:
New Club Race Record Holder
At the 3rd Duathlon on 21 September 2025, Simon Thiessen raced his 124th solo club race, eclipsing Carl Hoddy’s previous club record.
