🌟 Volunteer Spotlight 🌟
With 18 games of football across the last two weekends, we truly relied on our incredible village of volunteers.
To our regular volunteers, thank you for everything you do and for the countless hours you give—not only on game days, but throughout the week purchasing stock, preparing food, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly.
A huge thank you to Rhonda, Milly, Alex, Janet, Russell, Alannah and Chloe. We simply couldn't do what we do each week without you.
We'd also like to thank the players—and even our reserves coach—who jumped in to lend a hand. Your support is very much appreciated. A big shout out to Grover, Millie, Amy W, Lauren B, Connor W, Theo R, Will G, Jaye, Niamh, Maddy and Neve.
A special mention goes to Jaye, who wasn't playing yesterday but still stepped back into the canteen to help out. Your willingness to help wherever needed is greatly appreciated.
With Cygnet's incredible supporter base, it was a busy day in the canteen, and the extra hands made a real difference. I overheard one player say, "I'm not sure how much help I was" when being thanked. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Having even a couple of extra people throughout the day allows our canteen volunteers—who are there from set-up to pack-up—to take a well-earned break. Every bit of help matters.
So next time the call goes out for volunteers, put your hand up and come help us make the canteen great for our club. You might even have a bit of fun in the process! 😊
