The Diet Worked. So Why Did the Weight Come Back?
Have you ever lost the same 8 kilos… only to find them again?
Your body is trying to tell you something VERY important!
Short term compliance is not the same as long term compatibility.
Di knows this better than most.
For more than 50 years, she had tried diet after diet.
And like so many women I work with, what worked for her in her 30s and 40s simply wasn’t working in her 70s.
When we started working together, Di was taking medication for high blood pressure and cholesterol, and her osteoarthritis was becoming increasingly painful.
Just 12 weeks later:
→ 9 kg lost
→ 8 cm off her waist
→ Goal weight of 58 kg achieved
But those numbers aren't the part of Di’s story that excites me most.
She finally understands her body.
Instead of following another generic diet, Di learned how to identify her own individual tolerance to carbohydrate and how to build her meals around what works for her.
Because there is no universal amount of carbohydrate that is right for everybody. Your age, muscle mass, activity levels, hormones and metabolism all matter.
At Dietflex, I often explain it like this . . .
We all have different tolerances to carbohydrate, just as we have different tolerances to the sun.
Finding yours can completely change the way you approach weight loss.
Today, Di has more energy to enjoy her grandchildren, greater confidence and she's back wearing the clothes she loves.
And perhaps most importantly?
After 50 years of dieting, she isn't looking for the next diet.
She has learned how to eat for her body.
Whether you have 8 kilos or 28 kilos to lose, perhaps the question isn't:
“Which diet should I try next?”
Perhaps it's: “What have I never learned about my own body?”
If you've spent years losing and regaining the same weight, DM me TOLERANCE.
I'll explain how I teach people discover their individual carbohydrate tolerance and why it could be the piece of the puzzle you've been missing.
Remember, nothing changes if nothing changes.
